Position Overview
Netwrix is on a mission to help customers protect and secure their identity and data landscape through market-leading on-prem and SaaS products and integrated solutions. Netwrix Identity products provide leading identity security solutions to thousands of enterprise customers worldwide.

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer who will develop new features and capabilities for Netwrix Identity Recovery, our enterprise solution for backup and recovery of Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta environments. The Software Engineer will ensure scalable, secure, high-quality experiences for enterprise customers in both on-prem and SaaS environments.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to help build and shape the user experience for our identity recovery product that protects organizations when it matters most. You will own the browser-based administration console and desktop application, drive UX improvements across complex recovery workflows, and play a key role in evolving the product toward a modern SaaS platform. You will integrate AI capabilities into both the product and your development process and work closely with product leaders and engineers to deliver software that protects organizations worldwide against identity-based threats.

Your home base is the Netwrix Identity Recovery team. You will work within a shared engineering platform and technology stack, with opportunities to contribute to other products across the Netwrix ITDR portfolio — such as PingCastle, Threat Prevention, and Threat Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the web-based administration console for Netwrix Identity Recovery, creating intuitive and performant UX for complex enterprise recovery workflows
  • Design and implement UX flows for recovery scenarios involving Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta — including object restore, multi-step forest recovery, and real-time operation progress
  • Own real-time notification and status update experiences in the browser, keeping administrators informed during long-running recovery operations
  • Own authentication and account management UI: login flows, MFA enrollment, and session management
  • Contribute to the backend services layer to support new UI features — this role requires full-stack capability beyond the UI
  • Integrate data and capabilities with Netwrix's cybersecurity product platform and other ITDR products
  • Drive the evolution of the product's UI toward a modern SaaS and cloud-hosted architecture
  • Promote and optimize the use of AI tools and capabilities to accelerate Netwrix product development
  • Partner with customers and customer-facing teams to triage and address issues, understand customer needs, and gather feedback on product features
  • Collaborate across functions with product management, platform and product teams, and engineering leadership to align technical direction with business needs
  • Help foster a culture of innovation, security-first thinking, mentorship, professional growth, and technical excellence

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of software development experience with a focus on enterprise software
  • Production experience with C# and .NET in a web application context
  • Production experience with ASP.NET Core Blazor or a comparable component-based web framework (React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Experience designing and delivering on-prem or SaaS software at scale
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core/.NET)
  • Familiar with C++ enough to read and understand it to trace bugs and understand backend behavior.
  • Solid grounding in web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and browser rendering
  • Experience with a modern component-based web framework — ASP.NET Core Blazor, React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Understanding of authentication patterns: cookie auth, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and MFA flows
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and consumption
  • Familiarity with real-time web patterns: WebSockets or similar push mechanisms
  • Experience with relational databases and the ability to read and understand a data model
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), containerization fundamentals, and infrastructure as code

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proven ability to balance technical quality with business priorities and timelines
  • Strong UX instincts: you notice when enterprise admin workflows are confusing and can advocate clearly for improvements
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex, ambiguous challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with ASP.NET Core Blazor Server and a commercial component library (Telerik, MudBlazor, or equivalent)
  • React and TypeScript experience, particularly for building enterprise admin or data-heavy SPA applications
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, or similar identity and access management concepts
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Windows identity concepts — directly applicable to recovery workflow design
  • Experience building or participating in on-prem to SaaS UI migrations
  • Familiarity with Azure services relevant to SaaS web hosting: Azure App Service, Azure SignalR Service, Azure Container Apps
  • Familiarity with threat detection methodologies, SIEM concepts, and security frameworks
  • Experience developing products that support both on-prem and SaaS environments
  • Understanding of the ITDR market and solutions
