Financial Reporting & Analysis Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Reporting & Analysis Manager to join our Finance team. The Financial Reporting & Analysis Manager will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including financial statement preparation, period-end closing, budget analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, demonstrated experience designing and improving finance processes using technology platforms, and a solid understanding of percentage-of-completion accounting, inventory, and multi-entity accounting. This role will report directly to the CFO and will play a key role in the financial health and strategic planning of the company with career path runway in a company experiencing significant growth.


Key Responsibilities

     Financial Reporting: Ownership of GAAP financial statement process across portfolio of companies and consolidation of parent entity. Provide direction and guidance to staff accountants on balance sheet, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

     Operational / Board Reporting: Design, build, and maintain various reports and dashboards to be used in the operation of the business and for Board visibility.

     Period-End Close: Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

     Job Cost Accounting: Oversee job cost accounting activities, including tracking and analyzing costs, percentage-of-completion, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

     Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Monitor and report on budget performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.

     Technology & Process Enablement: Demonstrate strong intuition for building and optimizing financial processes within modern technology platforms (ERP, reporting, automation tools) to improve accuracy, timeliness, and scalability of the financial reporting process.

     Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data. Identify and implement process improvements.

     Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Accounting Operations, Sales, etc.) and outside advisors (legal, accounting, due diligence) to provide financial support, analysis, and insights for organic growth and future acquisitions.

     Special Projects: Take on additional accounting and finance-related projects as assigned



Qualifications

     Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

     CPA candidate is a significant plus.

     Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, contractor, distribution, engineering, or industrial environment. Acquisition experience a plus.

     Proven experience with month-end and year-end close processes.

     Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

     Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) and advanced skills (Power BI / Power Query) in Microsoft Excel and financial planning software

     Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

     High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

     Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

     Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.

     Travel when required;


Prerequisites/Requirements:

  • Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
  • Satisfactory background check.
