GENERAL SUMMARY: The Distribution Center Specialist performs a wide variety of shipping and receiving tasks for the Warehouse. This person also will provide customer support and delivered order process duties for Customer Service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Receive orders from Customer Service
• Receive product shipments into Great Plains from suppliers.
• Update inventory counts and make necessary changes in Great Plains.
• Prepare International shipping documents (taxes, duties, field questions).
• Assist in maintaining warehouse inventory.
• Responsible for ensuring the security and accountability of materials and product on site.
• Provide phone and email support to customers.
• Assist in assembling product sets for distribution.
• Prepare shipping labels and packaging product.
• Assist in counting and receiving shipments, including verification of inbound shipments.
• Other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: There are no supervisor responsibilities with this position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. MRP or ERP experience strongly preferred. Experience in warehouse or distribution center preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. Requires excellent grammar and spelling.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires a valid driver’s license.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment, such as a computer and keyboard, calculator, fax, photocopier, telephone, cell phone, etc. Requires proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
