The Role

We are hunting for exceptional Software Engineers to help us build, scale, and innovate our core product offerings. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end feature development—from crafting intuitive user experiences to designing robust and scalable backend and API solutions while efficiently managing database interactions. Beyond traditional product engineering, you will play a key role in integrating generative AI into our platform. You will build intelligent features that leverage LLMs, agentic workflows, and semantic search capabilities to deliver outsized value to our users. What you'll do

  • Drive new product innovation by exploring how GenAI and LLMs can unlock entirely new capabilities and user experiences
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on ideas, turning ambiguous concepts into working solutions.
  • Design and build scalable systems using TypeScript (Node.js, modern frameworks) that can evolve from prototype to production.
  • Architect cloud enabled solutions on AWS, balancing speed, cost, and long-term scalability.
  • Model and optimize data in PostgreSQL to support both traditional and AI-driven workflows.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to explore, innovate, and build technical solutions with AI assisted engineering practices and technology.
  • Partner closely with product, design, and leadership to shape product direction and strategy
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make pragmatic decisions about where they can create real value
  • Take ownership of systems and features from concept through launch and iteration
  • Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and security

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript ecosystems
  • Experience building backend services with Node.js
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture
  • Solid experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, queries, optimization)
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with microservices or serverless architectures
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows (Git, testing frameworks)
  • You balance speed with quality and long-term maintainability
  • You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Must be willing to travel to Charlotte, NC or other US locations 3 - 6 times per year for in person meetings, collaboration, training, and team development.

  • Experience with AI tools, Agentic AI patterns, and integrating AI into products.
  • Full system design experience inside scaled enterprise ecosystems and SaaS platforms
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
  • Experience working in agile, product-focused teams
  • Prior experience in growth stage technology companies.

  • Languages: TypeScript preferred (Node.js, Go, Kotlin, Python, modern tech)
  • Cloud: AWS (Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, etc.)
  • Database: PostgreSQL
  • AI: LLM APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings (OpenAI, Cursor Skills, Claude, etc)
  • Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Datadog monitoring/observability tools, etc. AWS cloud
