About the role

Protect Life Michigan is seeking a hardworking, innovative, and vision-driven individual to join our Marketing Team as an integral member. This individual will assist the Director of Marketing with email marketing and other writing and communication projects as assigned.

What you'll do

• Support the Director of Marketing through the writing of professional copy for Protect Life Michigan emails, and occasionally for posts, brochures, websites, handouts, and more.
• Research relevant trends and apply them to Protect Life Michigan's email marketing content and strategy.
• Assist in maintaining Protect Life Michigan’s language & style guide
• Ensure consistency of branding and messaging across various channels
• Assist the Director of Marketing with regular event marketing for events such as the Life Advocate Intensive, March for Life, Summer Internship Program, and Student Celebration.

Qualifications

●  Commitment to the pro-life movement and the mission of Protect Life Michigan. 

● Ability to commit to the position for at least one year. 

● Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing

● Positive view of support-raising and/or fundraising.

● A positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively. 

● Proficiency in Google Applications, Canva, Mailchimp, popular social media platforms, and graphic design (preferred).
● Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and productively.

Salary/Benefits

Salary and benefits are determined by the needs of the individual, commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include: 

• After completing 1 year of work, eligibility for employer-matched Simple IRA.
• Ample professional development opportunities.
• Protect Life Michigan is a support-raising organization. The salary and all expenses associated with this position will be fundraised by the candidate. Protect Life Michigan will provide training and coaching in order to help the candidate reach full support and will pay the candidate while they raise support. We have an excellent track record of helping job candidates reach full support: 85% of our candidates have reached full support within 2-3 months.
• You will complete support raising prep work over the first 1-3 weeks, then you will attend a support raising bootcamp around week 4 of your employment with PLM. Subsequently, you will spend the next 6-13 weeks support raising before beginning your job duties.
