About the role
As the Senior Sales Development Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating growth across the Waikato region by driving new customer acquisition and growing wallet share. This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity within our Sales & Marketing function, created to bring focused, senior-level sales leadership and execution to an important regional growth opportunity.
Working alongside Waikato Agri Managers, Sales & Marketing leadership and our wider support teams, you will lead from the front on prospecting, pipeline management and customer conversion. You will identify, qualify and pursue new customer opportunities, support existing customer growth through cross-sell and up-sell activity, and help bring structure, momentum and discipline to regional acquisition efforts.
While this role does not have direct reports, it carries strong influence. You will coach and support Agri Managers in prospecting, sales technique, CRM use and customer conversations, helping lift capability across the region and supporting measurable, sustainable growth for the Co-operative.

About you
You are a commercially minded, self-starting sales professional who understands the rural sector and knows how to turn opportunity into action. You bring credibility with farmers and frontline sales teams, and you are confident leading through influence rather than formal authority.
You will be comfortable getting close to customers, asking good questions, building trust and creating practical pathways to conversion. You enjoy coaching others, bringing structure to sales activity, and using data and systems to sharpen decision-making. Most importantly, you are delivery-focused, organised and motivated by helping Ravensdown grow its customer base and deliver value for shareholders.
