About the role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead the Payroll Integrations team, which transforms complex payroll activity into accurate accounting data customers can trust. In this role, you’ll define and build the next generation of accounting automations, using AI to build products that generate journal entries, sync payroll data to ERPs, catch errors before they reach the ledger, and help finance teams resolve issues and close their books faster. 

You’ll own an end-to-end product surface with a dedicated engineering team, building for some of Rippling’s largest and most complex payroll customers while partnering closely with customer-facing teams to translate messy payroll and finance workflows into scalable product experiences.

What you will do

• Set the vision and roadmap for Payroll Integrations, a product area that helps customers turn payroll into accurate financial data they can trust.
• Own the full product experience, from helping customers get set up quickly to making sure data flows reliably into the systems their finance teams depend on.
• Bring AI into real customer workflows so finance teams can catch issues earlier, recover faster, and spend less time on manual follow-up.
• Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to turn messy operational problems into simple, scalable products.
• Build for some of Rippling’s largest and most complex payroll customers, then generalize those learnings into products that can serve thousands more.
• Make thoughtful prioritization calls across customer commitments, platform reliability, and strategic AI investments 

What you will need

• 4+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to payroll, accounting, finance systems, integrations, data platforms, or B2B SaaS workflows.
• Systems thinking: you can understand messy real-world workflows, model the underlying data and state transitions, and design products that scale beyond the first customer.
• Technical judgment. You should be able to understand how data moves through complex systems, identify where things can break, and partner with engineering to build products that are reliable, scalable, and easy for customers to trust.
• Customer empathy and judgment: you can separate loud symptoms from root causes and build the product customers actually need.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, make tradeoffs, and drive alignment across engineering, design, support, implementation, and GTM teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; you can make complex payroll-accounting concepts understandable to engineers, customers, executives, and GTM teams.
• Bias for ownership and follow-through. You don’t just ship features; you own whether the workflow works in production.
