This is a 100% in-person position based at our Burbank, CA office. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role. Candidates must be local or willing to commute daily. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position.


BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Process high-volume electronic transactions and resolve complex account issues within the Electronic Services Department. Deliver exceptional service to members and internal teams while strictly adhering to compliance standards, credit union policies, and operational procedures under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Provide superior and efficient member service.
  • Responsible for processing inter-office mail transactions received by the Credit Union including but not limited to check deposits, loan payments, and transfer requests.
  • Process Coogan account closures.
  • Process daily Drafts, ACH, iPay, and Wires as assigned.
  • Process returned items and rejected Items through Federal Reserve System.
  • Process levies, Garnishments and subpoenas within the applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review and process daily Reports. 
  • Review, acknowledge, and timely resolve potential OFAC matches through Verafin.
  • Research statements, checks, and deposits.
  • Assist with the annual escheatment to the State.
  • Assist with the IRA/HSA accounts and quarterly state withholdings.
  • Review and process deceased accounts, ensuring proper documentation and account closure.
  • Assist members with complex account inquiries.
  • Review mobile deposits and process rejections as needed.
  • Review and respond to Asset Verification Requests from various state and federal agencies.
  • Balance all deposited checks for the administration office.
  • Process end-of-day closing procedures and send release file through Fedline.
  • Adhere to department standards, Credit Union security procedures, credit union policy and/or procedures.
  • Assist with office duties as required.
  • Safeguard member privacy.
  • May be required to lift to 20 lbs.
  • Perform other related duties may be deemed necessary for the effective and efficient function of the department and to meet department performance standards.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to research, analyze, and resolve account and transaction-related issues accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to compliance while delivering exceptional service to members and co-workers.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • May be required to assist with special projects, system testing, and implementation related to Electronic Services.
  • Banking or credit union experience required; knowledge of ACH, wire transfers, and electronic payments preferred.
  • Ability to effectively use a desktop computer and navigate multiple software systems with accuracy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to meet the following physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: 1) Sit, walk, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle, feel, and control items or equipment; 2) Reach with hands and arms; 3) Talk and hear; 4) See and be able to read, write, and interpret text, spreadsheet, and graphical documents.


PAY GRADE INFO:

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base range for this position is: $20.48 to $25.13 hourly.
