STARK is seeking an experienced Pad Prep for our Calhoun, GA location. This role is responsible for Tackout (Block) Carpet to square by knee kicking carpet and using a nail gun.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM
Job Type: Full-Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Measure and cut padding materials (foam, batting, or fabric) using hand tools, cutting machines, or templates.
  • Follow work orders, patterns, or cut sheets to ensure proper dimensions and quantity.
  • Inspect materials for defects prior to and after cutting to maintain quality standards.
  • Label and organize cut pieces for production use or inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cutting area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Track and report material usage and waste.
  • Assist in maintaining cutting equipment and report any mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with production team to ensure workflow is consistent and deadlines are met.
  • Cross-train in other production areas as needed.
• • Ability to work in warehouse environment in heat in excess of 95 degrees during the summer and lower temps during winter.

• Basic math and measurement skills, including the use of measuring tapes and rulers.
• Ability to read and understand cut sheets, patterns, or job instructions.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
