POSITION SUMMARY

The Eastern Market Manager is responsible for driving Still Austin’s performance and brand presence within Total Wine & More stores across the Eastern territory. This role serves as the primary brand ambassador and engagement leader within the channel, focusing on consumer education, in-store programming, staff training, merchandising excellence, and experiential activation.

Success in this role requires strong presentation skills, deep product knowledge, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to build authentic relationships with store teams and customers. The Market Manager plays a critical role in converting education and engagement into sustained sales growth and brand loyalty.

SUCCESS PROFILE

To be successful in this role, the Eastern Market Manager will:

·       Serve as a visible, trusted, and enthusiastic brand evangelist within the Total Wine channel.

·       Drive consumer trial and conversion through engaging in-store experiences.

·       Build strong partnerships with Total Wine leadership and store teams.

·       Establish Still Austin as a “must-recommend” brand among store associates.

·       Execute consistent merchandising and display standards across the territory.

·       Translate brand education into measurable sales impact.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own Still Austin’s in-store engagement strategy within assigned Total Wine locations.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute interactive classroom trainings, tastings, and sales-floor activations.
  • Deliver compelling brand education for Total Wine associates, managers, and leadership teams.
  • Serve as the primary Still Austin brand ambassador within assigned stores.
  • Drive consumer awareness through storytelling, guided tastings, and experiential programming.
  • Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, displays, and point-of-sale materials.
  • Partner with distributor and sales leadership to align programming with volume goals.
  • Support new item launches, seasonal programs, and promotional initiatives.
  • Collect and share field insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
  • Represent Still Austin at key Total Wine events, festivals, and special activations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and retailer policies.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

·       Conduct regular store visits to execute tastings, trainings, and merchandising audits.

·       Build strong working relationships with store managers, spirits buyers, and department leads.

·       Maintain expert-level knowledge of Still Austin products, production methods, and brand story.

·       Execute standardized education programs while adapting delivery to each audience.

·       Monitor display compliance and shelf placement.

·       Track and report engagement activity, training participation, and sales impact.

·       Coordinate event logistics, inventory needs, and materials.

·       Partner with marketing and sales teams on activation planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Reside in Florida
  • High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of beverage alcohol, retail, hospitality, or brand ambassador experience; OR
  • High school diploma or equivalency plus 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven experience delivering engaging trainings, tastings, or consumer events.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to obtain required liquor licenses as mandated by state or locality.
  • Ability to see, taste, and smell whiskey as part of job duties.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Total Wine & More or large-format specialty retailers.
  • Certified Spirits Specialist (CSS), Certified Bourbon Steward, or similar credential.
  • Background in brand education, field marketing, or experiential marketing.
  • Strong merchandising and visual presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence retail staff recommendations.
  • Experience supporting product launches and promotional programs.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires the ability to:

·       Travel frequently by car throughout assigned market.

·       Stand and walk for extended periods during tastings and store visits.

·       Lift and transport event materials and product samples (up to 40 lbs).

·       Perform sensory evaluation of whiskey products.

·       Communicate clearly in person, by phone, and in written formats.
