About the role


We’re looking for a talented Advanced Video Editor to join Sunco’s Marketing team and support the continued growth of our video content pipeline.


This role is intended for highly experienced video editors with a strong background in advertising, performance marketing, social media, and digital content. You will focus on editing both short-form and long-form videos for advertising, social media, tutorials, product content, and brand storytelling.

You’ll collaborate closely with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers to bring video concepts to life while maintaining Sunco’s brand standards and performance goals.


What you'll do

  • Collaborate with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers to develop video concepts, edit plans, and basic storyboards.
  • Edit short-form and long-form videos for ads, promotions, tutorials, product content, and brand storytelling using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar professional editing tools.
  • Create platform-native edits and variations for Amazon, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo, and other channels, optimizing content for format, length, hooks, pacing, and calls to action.
  • Create compelling advertising and performance-oriented video content designed to capture attention and support marketing objectives.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, tone, and visual style across all video content.
  • Add graphics, subtitles, 2D motion design, and animations to improve clarity, storytelling, and engagement.
  • Perform color correction and audio cleanup, including music, sound effects, dialogue cleanup, and voice balancing, while following licensing and brand guidelines.
  • Optimize video files, thumbnails, titles, and metadata for SEO and discoverability.
  • Stay current with video, advertising, social media, and creator trends and recommend new formats or creative tests.
  • Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and exports for efficient collaboration and reuse.
  • Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and partner teams while maintaining quality and timelines.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and communicate clearly about progress, priorities, and risks.
  • Partner with internal and external videographers or agencies when needed, providing clear briefs and editing requirements.
  • Support other video and content-related initiatives as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in film production, media, design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven professional experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating high-quality, end-to-end edits for digital channels, particularly advertising and performance marketing content.
  • Experience editing content from a variety of sources, including product footage, lifestyle shoots, UGC, screen recordings, and professionally produced footage.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and strong proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
  • Demonstrated experience with 2D motion graphics and animation.
  • Strong understanding of pacing, visual storytelling, composition, transitions, and motion design.
  • Strong understanding of advertising creative, including hooks, audience retention, calls to action, and platform-specific editing approaches.
  • Experience with sound design, including sound effects, dialogue cleanup, music selection, and audio mixing.
  • Experience tailoring content for social media, ecommerce, advertising, and marketplace platforms, particularly short-form formats.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to independently manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed and multicultural team.
  • Passion for staying current with video trends, editing techniques, tools, and creative best practices.
  • Experience with product, ecommerce, direct-to-consumer, or B2B video campaigns is a plus.
