Internship Disciplines 

We are inviting expressions of interest from students completing their 3rd or 4th year in: 

• Mechanical Engineering — Structures, mechanisms, thermal systems, propulsion, and vehicle design 

• Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering — Electronics design, sensors, actuators, embedded firmware, and power systems 

• Software Engineering — Flight software, autonomy, ground control systems, simulation, and tools development 
   

What You Can Expect 

• 400 hours of paid (living wage), work experience embedded within our R&D teams 

• Mentorship from experienced aerospace and robotics engineers 

• Exposure to the full engineering development cycle — from concept through to testing 

• The chance to contribute to meaningful, real-world projects on uncrewed vehicle systems

Who We're Looking For 

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer Science or Similar.  

• Completing your 3rd or 4th year of study by the time of the internship (Nov 2026) 

• Genuinely curious about aerospace, robotics, or defence technology 

• Proactive problem-solvers. People who are humble, reliable, team-oriented, and respectful. 

• Eligible to work and study in New Zealand
