About the Role

Artemis Insurance is seeking an experienced, licensed Personal Lines Account Executive to join our West Texas team. This is a unique hybrid sales and account management opportunity for someone who enjoys developing new business but also values building long-term relationships with clients.

Unlike a traditional commission-only sales role, this position offers a competitive base salary of $65,000–$70,000 plus 5% of agency fees collected. The Account Executive will have opportunities to grow the book through new business and cross-selling while also managing renewals, retention, coverage reviews, and ongoing client relationships.

The position may be performed remotely or on-site in Amarillo, Texas. The Account Executive will also work closely with our Personal Lines service team, which provides administrative and service support.

  • Identify opportunities to improve coverage and expand client relationships during the renewal process.
  • Proactively address accounts that may be at risk of leaving the agency.
  • Work toward established retention goals while ensuring recommendations remain appropriate for each client's needs.

Client Relationship & Account Management

  • Serve as a primary licensed point of contact for assigned Personal Lines clients.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through responsive and knowledgeable service.
  • Assist clients with coverage questions, policy changes, billing concerns, renewals, claims questions, and other insurance needs.
  • Conduct annual and life-event coverage reviews.
  • Educate clients regarding coverage options and risk considerations.
  • Process or coordinate endorsements, renewals, cancellations, applications, and other policy transactions.
  • Maintain accurate and complete client and policy documentation.

  • Maintain responsibility for ensuring client needs, renewals, and sales opportunities are effectively managed.

Carrier, Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain current knowledge of Personal Lines carrier products, appetite, underwriting requirements, and eligibility guidelines.
  • Work with carrier representatives and underwriters to identify appropriate placement solutions.
  • Follow Company procedures, carrier requirements, and applicable insurance regulations.
  • Ensure coverage discussions, recommendations, client decisions, and declined coverage are appropriately documented.
  • Maintain accurate applications, policy information, and client records.
  • Identify potential coverage, documentation, underwriting, or E&O concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Maintain quality and accuracy while balancing sales, renewal, and service responsibilities.

What We Are Looking For

Work Location

This position offers flexibility based on the successful candidate's location:

Remote – Work remotely while supporting our West Texas Personal Lines clients and team.

Amarillo, Texas – Candidates who prefer an office environment may work on-site with our West Texas team.

Because this role may be performed remotely, candidates must be able to work independently, maintain consistent productivity and responsiveness, and maintain a professional remote work environment.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't a traditional Personal Lines producer position, and it isn't strictly a service role. It combines the best of both.

You'll have the opportunity to sell and grow business while building lasting relationships with the clients you serve. You'll own the relationship from new business through renewal and ongoing account management, while having support from a Personal Lines service team for administrative and transactional needs.

If you're a licensed Personal Lines professional who enjoys both the sales and relationship-management sides of insurance, we'd love to hear from you.
