Reporting to: Staff Scientist
Your role in the mission:
In this role you will help to implement novel computational workflows for the design and analysis of the electromagnets of our stellarator fusion reactors. You will work closely with our team of applied mathematician and computational physicists, as well as our coil engineers, to further automate our computational pipelines for coil optimization, validation, and develop novel algorithms to increase the efficiency and accuracy of these computations.
Experience in scientific computing, python, high performance computing, and numerical optimization is expected, as is experience with distributed version control software (e.g. Github), and with Jax, C++ and Fortran.
