Supply Chain Intern (Summer 2027)

We are on a mission to become a leading supplier of critical materials that enable the green energy and technology revolution.  Our materials and technologies are required for the electric vehicle, green energy, consumer electronics, and defense industries, and our battery grade lithium and tech metals are needed for chipsets, semiconductors, and 5G. 


We have a substantial interest in the Round Top, Heavy Rare Earth, Lithium and Critical Minerals deposit in West Texas. We have also developed the United States’ first rare earth and critical minerals processing facility and we own the only scalable, sintered neo-magnet manufacturing system in the Western Hemisphere. By developing this fully integrated, US-based “mine-to-magnet” critical mineral supply chain, we are poised to become the leading domestic supplier to these industries.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to assist with the day-to-day management, organization, and accuracy of our inventory. This position provides hands-on experience in inventory management, purchasing, receiving, data entry, and operational processes.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with numbers and computer systems, and interested in learning how effective inventory control supports a successful business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving, counting, labeling, and organizing incoming inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the company’s inventory management system.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
  • Research and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist with product identification, SKU management, and inventory location organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential overstock or out-of-stock situations.
  • Assist the purchasing and operations teams with inventory-related projects.
  • Verify received products against purchase orders and packing documentation.
  • Help maintain an organized and efficient stockroom or warehouse.
  • Enter and update inventory information accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare inventory reports and assist with analyzing inventory data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures regarding inventory handling, security, safety, and documentation.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college, university, or a relevant technical/vocational program preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable working with numbers and computer-based systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to perform physical inventory tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, and moving inventory as required.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous retail, warehouse, purchasing, inventory, or customer service experience.
  • Experience with inventory management or point-of-sale software.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
  • Interest in supply chain, purchasing, business operations, or logistics.

The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, a manufacturing floor and a construction site.   Noise level: Normal office, manufacturing and construction noises.
