The Global Payroll Specialist serves as the company’s subject-matter expert and owner of global payroll operations across the United States, United Kingdom, and the Philippines. This role ensures payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local labor and tax regulations while maintaining alignment with internal policies and controls.
Operating independently but in close partnership with HR, Finance, and external vendors, this position manages all aspects of payroll processing, vendor relationships, and compliance monitoring. The ideal candidate combines exceptional technical expertise with strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
· Own and execute end-to-end payroll processing for the U.S., U.K., and Philippines, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
· Ensure adherence to statutory reporting and remittance obligations, including U.S. federal/state tax filings, U.K. HMRC submissions, and Philippine BIR/SSS/HDMF/PhilHealth reporting.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll inquiries, audits, and escalations globally.
· Manage relationships with external payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, Payslip) to ensure high-quality service delivery and data accuracy.
· Maintain and update payroll data within Rippling, ensuring alignment with HR and Finance systems.
· Prepare payroll summaries, reconciliations, and journal entries in coordination with the Finance team.
· Identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation opportunities across regions.
· Partner with HR and Finance on compliance initiatives, compensation changes, and audit requests.
· Support payroll-related projects, system integrations, and user acceptance testing.
· Uphold strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information in accordance with data protection standards (GDPR, etc.).
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
· 5+ years of end-to-end payroll experience, including full-cycle ownership in at least three countries (U.S., U.K., and Philippines required).
· Demonstrated expertise with multi-country payroll compliance and vendor management.
· Payroll certifications such as CPP (U.S.), CIPP (U.K.), or equivalent international credential strongly preferred.
· Payroll Systems: Rippling, ADP, Workday and Payslip experience required.
· Travel s Expense and Systems: Familiarity with Navan, Procurify, or similar tools preferred.
· Microsoft Office 365: Advanced Excel proficiency; strong command of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global and cross-functional teams.
· Proven ability to manage complex, multi-country payrolls independently.
· Skilled at balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
· Highly organized and self-directed, with strong project management and prioritization skills.
