About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support and take ownership of the day-to-day HR operations across WarriorBabe and our growing business lines.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who knows how to keep HR operations organized, accurate, and moving forward. You will be a primary point of contact for employees and leaders on day-to-day HR matters while supporting payroll, benefits, compliance, HR systems, documentation, and employee processes.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, has strong knowledge of multi-state employment compliance, understands payroll and HR administration, and can proactively identify and solve problems before they become bigger issues.

You won't simply be checking boxes — you'll be trusted to own your area, solve problems, and make sure things get done.

This role will partner closely with the Director of People and Chief People Officer. The broader People leadership team will continue to own strategy, organizational development, recruiting strategy, compensation, and complex escalations, while you will play a key role in the day-to-day execution and administration that keeps the People function running smoothly.

What You'll Own

HR Operations

  • Own day-to-day HR operations and employee support
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers on HR-related questions and processes
  • Manage employee changes including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, status changes, and other personnel updates
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation
  • Help develop, document, and improve HR processes and standard operating procedures
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve HR processes

Payroll

  • Own the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Review payroll for accuracy, including wages, deductions, bonuses, commissions, PTO, employee changes, and other adjustments
  • Understand payroll tax requirements, liabilities, and multi-state payroll considerations
  • Partner with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues
  • Reconcile payroll and identify discrepancies before payroll is finalized
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
  • Monitor and respond to payroll-related tax notices and issues

Benefits & Leave Administration

  • Manage day-to-day benefits administration and employee support
  • Process benefit enrollments, changes, eligibility, and terminations
  • Partner with benefit providers and vendors to resolve issues
  • Administer PTO, leave, and other employee time-off programs
  • Maintain accurate benefit and leave records
  • Support annual benefits processes and open enrollment

Multi-State HR Compliance

  • Help maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states
  • Monitor changes in employment regulations and flag potential impacts
  • Manage state registrations, employment notices, tax notices, and other compliance requirements
  • Maintain required employee and workplace documentation
  • Support audits and compliance reviews
  • Partner with leadership and external advisors when specialized legal guidance is needed
  • Proactively identify potential compliance concerns and bring them forward

HR Systems & Data

  • Manage day-to-day administration of the HRIS and related People systems
  • Ensure employee data, organizational information, compensation, job information, and employment records remain accurate
  • Manage system changes, workflows, permissions, and employee updates
  • Maintain People documentation, resources, and internal HR knowledge bases
  • Use HR data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement

Onboarding & Offboarding Administration

  • Manage the administrative side of employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Ensure new hires are properly set up in HR, payroll, benefits, and applicable systems
  • Manage employment documentation and required forms
  • Coordinate employee changes and terminations across relevant systems and vendors
  • Ensure offboarding processes are completed accurately and on time

Workers' Compensation & Retirement

  • Manage day-to-day administration related to workers' compensation
  • Support workers' compensation claims, audits, renewals, and documentation
  • Manage administrative responsibilities related to the company's 401(k) plan
  • Coordinate with plan providers and vendors to resolve employee or administrative issues
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure required processes are completed on time

What We're Looking For

You are someone who takes ownership. You don't wait for someone to tell you what needs to be done, and you don't need to be micromanaged to keep things moving.

We're looking for someone with:

  • 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong understanding of multi-state employment compliance
  • Deep knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, deductions, and payroll liabilities
  • Experience administering benefits, PTO/leave, workers' compensation, and retirement plans
  • Strong HRIS experience and confidence managing employee data and workflows
  • Experience managing audits, reconciliations, and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • A process-oriented mindset with a desire to continuously improve how things are done
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing company where processes are continually evolving

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience supporting multiple companies, entities, or business lines
  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment
  • Experience working with remote teams across multiple states
  • Experience with Rippling or a similar HRIS

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means the day-to-day People operations run smoothly and employees have a reliable, knowledgeable HR resource.

You will create confidence that:

  • Payroll is accurate and on time
  • Employee questions are answered quickly and effectively
  • Benefits and leave are administered correctly
  • HR compliance requirements are proactively managed
  • Employee records and HR systems are accurate
  • Onboarding and offboarding processes run smoothly
  • Audits, reconciliations, and administrative requirements don't fall through the cracks
  • HR processes are documented, organized, and scalable
  • Issues are identified and solved before they become bigger problems

Most importantly, you will become the person leadership can trust to say, "I've got it."

Why WarriorBabe?

You'll be joining a growing company with an ambitious mission and the opportunity to help build something from the ground up.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a perfectly established HR department and simply maintain it. We're growing quickly, expanding into new business lines, and building the infrastructure to support that growth.

You'll Have the Opportunity To:

  • Own meaningful HR responsibilities with real autonomy
  • Partner closely with People and executive leadership
  • Build and improve scalable HR processes and systems
  • Make a tangible impact on the employee experience
  • Help strengthen the People function as WarriorBabe grows
  • Grow your career and take on greater responsibility as the company evolves

If you're an experienced HR professional who loves ownership, problem-solving, compliance, and building better processes and is ready to grow your career in a meaningful way, we'd love to meet you.
