Responsibilities:

●       Consult with clients to understand their desired look, hair type, and lifestyle needs.

●       Perform haircuts, styling, coloring, and chemical treatments (relaxers, keratin treatments, etc.) with precision and care.

●       Recommend and sell retail hair care products based on client needs.

●       Build and maintain a loyal client base through excellent service and rebooking.

●       Maintain sanitation and sterilization standards for all tools and workstations in accordance with Washington State Department of Licensing requirements.

●       Stay current on the latest trends, techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing education.

●       Accurately document services rendered and product usage in the point-of-sale/scheduling system.

●       Collaborate with the spa team to deliver a seamless, welcoming client experience.

Requirements & Experience:

●       Valid Washington State Cosmetology License in good standing.

●       One or more years of experience as a licensed hairstylist preferred.

●       Strong technical skills in cutting, coloring, and styling for a range of hair types and textures.

●       Excellent communication and customer service skills.

●       Ability to build rapport with clients and generate repeat business.

●       Must be able to work 1 Saturday per month.

Physical Requirements:

●       This position requires prolonged standing and repetitive use of hands and arms.

●       Frequent bending, reaching, and fine motor movements when performing services.

●       Exposure to hair care chemicals, dyes, and related products.

●       Frequent talking and listening when consulting with clients.

Hairstylist

Location: Onsite - Nouveau Day Spa, Kennewick, WA

Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Compensation: 40% commission on services performed. In accordance with Washington's Equal Pay and Opportunities Act (RCW 49.58.110), Nouveau Day Spa guarantees that total commission earnings will meet or exceed the applicable Washington State minimum wage for all hours worked.

Schedule/Availability: Part-time or full-time. Must be flexible based on business needs. 1 working Saturday per month required.
