We're looking for a proactive Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance and presentation of our Build to Rent communities. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high-quality environments, enjoys solving problems and is committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences. 

You'll play a key role in ensuring our buildings, amenities and shared spaces remain safe, functional and thoughtfully maintained, helping create an effortless living experience for residents and commercial tenants alike. 

What you’ll do: 

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs and inspections across residential and retail assets  

• Respond to resident and commercial tenant maintenance requests in a timely, professional and service-led manner  

• Support preventative maintenance programs to ensure building systems and equipment remain operational and compliant  

• Monitor and assist with building services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and mechanical systems  

• Coordinate contractors and service providers, ensuring works are completed safely and to a high standard  

• Assist with defect identification, tracking and rectification activities  

• Maintain the presentation and functionality of common areas, amenities and shared spaces  

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and compliance documentation  

• Monitor maintenance stock, tools and consumables to support operational requirements  

• Support emergency response activities and after-hours incidents as required 

What we’re looking for: 

• Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property operations or a related field  

• Relevant trade qualification or demonstrated hands-on maintenance experience  

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues  

• A resident-first mindset with a commitment to service excellence  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills  

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic operational environment  

• Experience coordinating contractors and service providers  

• Comfortable using maintenance management systems, mobile applications and digital tools  

• Current driver's licence  

• Experience within residential, Build to Rent, hotel or commercial property environments highly regarded  

• Relevant licences, tickets or certifications (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems or general maintenance disciplines) advantageous
