Senior SharePoint Implementation Consultant

Avicado Construction Technology Services is seeking a Senior SharePoint Implementation Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of enterprise-scale SharePoint Online environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with delivery leadership, ensuring scalable, secure, and well-governed collaboration solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

What you’ll do…   

  • SharePoint Architecture & Administration 
    • Design, configure, and administer SharePoint Online environments (site collections, hub sites, tenant settings) 
    • Develop scalable information architecture, navigation, and site structures 
    • Implement document libraries, content types, and metadata frameworks 
  • Implementation & Solution Delivery 
    • Lead end-to-end SharePoint implementations (requirements, design, configuration, deployment) 
    • Translate business needs into scalable, user-centric solutions 
    • Establish reusable templates, standards, and delivery patterns 
  • Governance, Security & Compliance 
    • Define and enforce governance frameworks (provisioning, lifecycle, ownership models) 
    • Implement role-based access controls and permissions strategies 
    • Support audit readiness, compliance, and data integrity processes 
  • Automation & Power Platform 
    • Design workflows using Power Automate to support business processes 
    • Develop Power Apps for custom forms and lightweight applications 
    • Integrate SharePoint with broader Microsoft 365 services 
  • Reporting & Analytics 
    • Enable reporting and dashboards using Power BI 
    • Provide visibility into usage, governance, and operational metrics 
  •  Leadership Responsibilities 
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SharePoint administrators and consultants 
    • Set team priorities and manage workload across engagements 
    • Establish best practices, playbooks, and delivery standards 
    • Drive continuous improvement in delivery quality, efficiency, and scalability 
    • Track KPIs and delivery metrics to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence 
  • Client & Stakeholder Management 
    • Serve as a senior point of contact for SharePoint and M365 engagements 
    • Communicate timelines, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders 
    • Drive user adoption through enablement, training, and best practices 
  • Migration & Optimization 
    • Lead data migration, cleanup, and restructuring initiatives 
    • Optimize environments for performance, usability, and scalability 

You should have ... 

  • 8–12+ years of experience in SharePoint administration, development, or architecture 
  • 5+ years of experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring team members 
  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Online (administration, architecture, implementation) 
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, document management, and metadata design 
  • Experience with governance frameworks, permissions models, and compliance requirements 
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) 
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and analytics 
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills 
  • Experience working in complex, enterprise-scale environments 

Preferred Qualifications   

  • Experience leading large-scale SharePoint or intranet implementations 
  • Experience designing scalable templates and governance models 
  • Experience with cross-platform integrations and APIs 
  • Knowledge of document control and lifecycle management best practices
