Broadcast Play-By-Play Announcer / PA Announcer

About the role

  • Provide play-by-play commentary and color coverage on the Bethel Athletics Sports Network at varsity athletic contests. This involves describing the action on the field or court, calling the play-by-play of key moments, and providing relevant information such as scores, statistics, and player performances.
  • Prepare for play-by-play broadcasts as you see fit. A crucial aspect of a sports broadcaster's role is thorough research and preparation before each broadcast.
  • Serve as a public address announcer at Bethel University athletic contests.
  • Target Start Date: 9/1/26
  • End Date: 5/15/27


Qualifications

  • Must be a current Bethel University undergraduate student
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy team setting
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as needed
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely – both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to solve problems independently

Indoors and outdoors inside a Press Box.
