  • Company: Aland Family Dentistry
  • Location: Reno, NV
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour (DOE)
No Dental Experience? No Problem! While 1+ years of medical or dental front/back office exposure is a plus, we are fully prepared to train the right candidate! If you have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping people, our experienced clinical team will teach you the clinical workflows, sterilization standards, and patient care techniques needed to thrive.

Why Choose the Aland Family Dentistry Team?

At Aland Family Dentistry, we provide compassionate, gentle, and broad-scope care to patients throughout Northern Nevada. We don't just treat patients—we build genuine, lasting friendships. Our close-knit clinical team gets along incredibly well, loves to laugh, and functions like a supportive family.

By joining our clinical home, you will collaborate side-by-side with two dedicated, passionate providers who have built a reputation of trust and excellence in the Reno community:

  • Dr. Troy Aland: For Dr. Aland, dentistry is a lifelong passion. He focuses heavily on helping patients overcome dental anxieties, conquer pain, and discover that a visit to the dentist can be a comfortable experience. He believes in fostering a fun, low-stress workplace where the team respects and admires one another's dedication.
  • Dr. Mathew Stewart: A born-and-raised Reno native whose family has been shaping the local dental community for decades—his father practiced dentistry in Reno for 32 years, and his mother trained local assistants. Graduating in 2015, Dr. Stewart brings a modern, highly communicative approach to our practice.

What You'll Do Every Day (Responsibilities)

  • Hygiene Clinical Support: Work side-by-side with our dental hygienists to maintain efficient patient scheduling, assist during preventative procedures, and take digital dental X-rays (as allowed by Nevada law).
  • Treatment Room Operations: Prepare, sterilize, and turn over treatment rooms quickly and thoroughly between patient appointments.
  • Infection Control & Instrument Care: Sterilize clinical instruments, maintain clean working spaces, and strictly enforce all CDC, OSHA, and ADA safety standards.
  • Patient Comfort & Education: Greet patients with warmth, help ease dental anxieties, provide post-care instructions, and keep families feeling comfortable throughout their visit.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Experience: Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred, but entry-level candidates eager to learn are strongly encouraged to apply!
  • Education & Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Active BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Skills: Strong multi-tasking abilities, active listening skills, and professional interpersonal communication.
  • Mindset: A reliable, team-first team player who brings positive energy to the workplace and treats every patient like family.
  • Safety & Compliance: This position is safety-sensitive; a pre-employment drug screen is required.
