About the role

D-Wave is seeking Demand Planner II, Production to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will support the development and maintenance of the company’s integrated demand plan across production, customer orders, project requirements, and installed-based service demand.


As D-Wave continues to scale its manufacturing and customer support operations, demand planning becomes increasingly critical to ensure predictable execution, efficient inventory management, and on-time customer deliveries. This role supports demand planning by consolidating commercial commitments, project schedules, service requirements, and operational priorities into a single, reliable demand signal. Through maintaining accurate planning data and coordinating cross-functional inputs, the role helps enable efficient supply chain and production planning.


The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Program Management, Service, Engineering, Lab Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support accurate forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement of planning processes.


What you'll do

  • Demand Forecasting & Planning
  • Support the development and maintenance of short-, medium-, and long-term demand forecasts by product family, project, customer, and service requirements.
  • Consolidate inputs from Program Management, Lab Operations, Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain into an integrated demand view.
  • Document forecast assumptions, constraints, risks, and dependencies.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and support continuous improvement of forecasting methods.


Production Demand Planning

  • Assist in maintaining production demand forecasts include volume, timing, priority, and execution requirements.
  • Align production demand with manufacturing capacity and operational constraints.
  • Identify and escalate potential bottlenecks, capacity risks, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Support scenario development and analysis for planning decisions and operational reviews.
  • Track the impact of demand changes on production schedules, engineering updates, inventory positions, and customer commitments.


Demand Prioritization & Coordination

  • Establish and maintain demand prioritization criteria based on customer commitments, revenue impact, strategic objectives, and operational requirements.
  • Identify and escalate demand conflicts, resource constraints, and competing priorities.
  • Prepare analysis and inputs to support planning discussions and decision-making.
  • Ensure clarity and consistency of demand data across planning stakeholders.


Planning Systems & Data Integrity

  • Maintain demand planning data within NetSuite ERP and associated planning tools.
  • Ensure demand data accuracy, completeness, and traceability of planning inputs.
  • Develop and maintain planning dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement of planning processes, reporting tools and data quality.


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, demand planning, supply chain analytics, or related role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, technology, or engineered-products environment.
  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Production, Program Management, Lab Operations, Engineering, Service and Finance teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and communicate planning decisions clearly.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with forecasting tools, MRP systems, and demand planning methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Results oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
