About the Role 

We're looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team. 

This is a critical role responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of our local operations while ensuring compliance with accounting, tax, payroll, and labor regulations. You will play a key role in supporting both local leadership and headquarters by delivering accurate financial information, coordinating with external advisors, and helping maintain efficient financial and administrative processes. 

You'll partner closely with Finance, Human Resources, headquarters, external accountants, auditors, banks, and government entities to ensure the business operates in a compliant, organized, and financially sound manner. 

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with financial data, takes ownership of complex operational processes, and consistently delivers accurate, high-quality work. 

What You’ll Own 

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare monthly accounting information using QuickBooks or other designated accounting systems.  
  • Support monthly and annual accounting closing activities and coordinate with external accounting providers.  
  • Process and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and general ledger accounts.  
  • Prepare monthly expense reports, cash movement reports, reconciliations, and supporting financial analyses.  
  • Ensure payroll records and supporting documentation remain complete and compliant with local labor regulations.  
  • Coordinate payments to suppliers and monitor recurring operational commitments.  
  • Support cash flow planning by preparing funding estimates and coordinating operational funding needs with headquarters.  
  • Prepare and coordinate financial, accounting, payroll, and compliance information requested by headquarters.  
  • Support monthly and annual tax reporting by coordinating information with external accountants and tax advisors.  
  • Maintain compliance with local accounting, tax, labor, and corporate regulations.  

 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.  
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or financial operations.  
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.  
  • Experience preparing payroll and administering employee-related payments.  
  • Knowledge of local Bolivia tax regulations, labor laws, and statutory compliance requirements.  
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar ERP systems.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools.  
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.  
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and international teams.  
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling financial and employee information. 

 
Bonus Points 

  • Experience supporting multinational or SaaS organizations.  
  • Experience working with external accounting firms, auditors, and tax advisors.  
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting and multinational financial operations.  
  • Experience preparing documentation for financial statements, audits, and regulatory filings.  
  • Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and cash management.  
  • Experience supporting headquarters or global finance teams.  
  • Experience with financial reporting, dashboards, or business analytics.
