About the Role 

Systems Administrators support the stability, security, and efficiency of internal technology systems. This role serves as a front-line IT operations contributor, responsible for ownership of day-to-day system administration tasks, end-user support, and infrastructure.

Systems Administrators are professionals who:

What You’ll Own 

  • Provide Reliable, Secure Technology for Employees o Maintain the office and remote networking connectivity within ≥ 99.5% uptime
    • Monitor and respond to system alerts and user-reported incidents
    • Investigate and document incident related root cause analyses
    • Escalate complex or systemic issues appropriately
    • Support scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and patching activities
    • Maintain endpoint, server, and SaaS systems o Assist with procurement, setup, deployment, and retrieval of equipment
    • Maintain accurate asset inventory records and conduct periodic inventory audits o Support hardware refresh, disposal, and secure decommissioning
  • Deliver High Quality Employee Support (ITSM)
    • Respond to IT service requests and incidents via ticketing system
    • Meet or exceed defined SLA response and resolution targets
    • Troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, applications, and connectivity issues
    • Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to all users
    • Identify recurring issues and propose preventative improvements
    • Champion safe AI experimentation and hardening, both in IT and throughout the company
  • Secure Access, Identity, and Endpoint Management
    • Perform user onboarding/offboarding tasks following documented procedures
    • Manage user access in accordance with least-privilege principles
    • Assist with:
      • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) / Active Directory
      • Email, collaboration, and SaaS access
    • Support device provisioning, encryption, patching, and asset tracking
    • Verify compliance with security baselines and company policies
  • Provide Corporate IT Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
    • Maintain and update internal IT documentation (ex: runbooks, SOPs, Sharepoint files)
    • Create and refine end-user self-service articles and troubleshooting guides
    • Contribute to standardized onboarding and support processes
    • Follow change and documentation standards

What You Bring  

  • Experience with system installation, configuration, and analysis

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure
  • Proficiency in the English language
  • Professional discretion and data confidentiality awareness
  • Work requires the ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Associates or BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred OR equivlent hands-on experience

Technical Skills 

  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, AD, EntraID)
  • TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, VPN client support concepts
  • Scripting authoring and execution fundamentals (ex: Powershell, Bash, etc)
  • REST integration concepts
  • Identity management and SSO support
  • Familiarity with SaaS administration concepts
  • Basic understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Endpoint security and antivirus concepts
  • Phishing awareness and reporting support
  • Data handling and acceptable use policies
