Overview

The Rentals Supervisor is responsible for the end-to-end performance of the rentals

department, ensuring operational excellence through meticulous administrative

oversight, safety leadership, and team development. This role balances hands-on field

auditing with strategic financial management to maximize equipment utilization and

departmental efficiency. The ideal candidate is a high-integrity leader who drives a

culture of urgency, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Primary Responsibilities

 Safety & Maintenance oversight: Responsible for rental safety through field audits and JSA’s,

while coordinating fleet readiness and preventative maintenance with the shop team.

 Purchase Order Management: Manage the full lifecycle of Purchase Orders ensuring daily

finalization of Service Core ticketing and delivering accurate flash reporting by 9:00am.

 Operational Optimization: Driving departmental profitability by reducing non-billable work,

optimizing dispatch routes, and leading the recruitment and development of the rentals team.

Essentially, this role bridges the gap between field execution and financial reporting to ensure a

safe, efficient, and high-growth rental operation.

Qualifications

 Operations Leadership: Minimum 2+ years of management experience in equipment

rentals, logistics, or field operations.

 Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of heavy equipment, trailers, and vehicle fleet

 Technical Proficiency: Skilled In-Service Core, Time tracking systems, and troubleshooting

Starlink or tablet issues.

Hands-on Troubleshooting: Experience in matching equipment to job requirements and solving

field operational issues.

 Communications: Professional stakeholder management and clear interdepartmental

coordination.

Working Conditions

 Environmental Exposure: Work is split between a professional office setting and outdoor

field environments. You will be exposed to variable weather conditions (heat, cold, rain) and

industrial noise levels during site visits and audits.

 Physical Requirements: Must be able to traverse uneven terrain at job sites, climb in and out

of vehicles, and occasionally lift or move equipment up to 50 lbs. during troubleshooting or

inspections.

 Travel Demands: Regular travel to customer sites and company locations is required. You

must maintain a valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles and oversee fleet movement.

 Schedule & Availability: This is a high-responsibility role that may require work outside of

standard business hours to resolve emergency operational issues or meet urgent customer

demands.

 High-Pace Atmosphere: The role involves managing high-pressure situations, such as

escalating missing POs or resolving logistics bottlenecks, requiring mental resilience and quick decision-making.
