About the role:

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to own the firm's accounting processes and manage day-to-day financial operations across multiple entities. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across internal systems and external accounts, and for delivering financial reporting obligations to our lender, regulators, and external auditors. You will work closely with trading, technology, and external partners to maintain control over finance, deliver actionable insights, and improve processes as the firm continues to scale.

What you'll do:

  • Categorize and process accounts payable, credit card transactions, expense reimbursements
  • Prepare clearing journal entries and reconcile Mid-Office to Finance P&L including fees
  • Prepare intercompany allocations and eliminations under Expense Sharing Agreements
  • Support payroll accounting and reconciliation
  • Assist with preparation of partner capital allocations and K-1 support schedules
  • Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • Own the month-end close process in Numeric across multiple entities, including account flux analysis, with consistent, timely, and accurate monthly deliverables
  • Prepare daily net capital computations and support FOCUS report preparation for the broker-dealer entity
  • Assist with annual budget and latest estimate reports to Management
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including preparation of lender covenant deliverables and coordination with the external audit team

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services; broker-dealer or proprietary trading firm experience preferred
  • Familiarity with exchange-traded derivatives, futures, and options products; ability to understand and reconcile positions across asset classes
  • Experience with multi-entity or consolidated accounting structures, including partnership or LLC entities with partner capital accounts
  • Experience with broker-dealer regulatory reporting preferred; Series 27 license required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • NetSuite proficiency preferred; Numeric, Rippling, and Ramp experience a plus
  • High proficiency in Excel required; experience with AI-assisted workflows a plus
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced, low-headcount environment
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills; proven ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues independently

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Base salary represents just one part of overall compensation; all full-time, permanent roles are eligible for a discretionary bonus and benefits, including items in the above list.

The base salary for this role is 90,000 - 120,000 USD per year
