About the Role

This role is based in Toronto/GTA one day per week and remote four days per week.

Seeking a B2B media Account Executive for the retail industry with expertise in driving revenue across brand portfolio including events, digital media, print media and sponsored custom content. The ideal candidate will have experience selling events, media and marketing programs to savvy clients in the retail industry. (Experience in the Grocery industry is an asset). Sales will be driven by a consultative or needs-based approach providing accounts with solutions to business growth and marketing challenges. In this role, you will utilize a consultative, needs-based approach to provide accounts with solutions for their business growth and marketing challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Consultative Selling: Lead discovery sessions with key clients and stakeholders to uncover gaps in their go-to-market strategy.
  • Integrated Program Development: Create strategic programs across the brand portfolio, including event sponsorships, digital media, custom content, and research programs.
  • Meeting & Presentation Excellence: Conduct weekly consultative client meetings and deliver polished presentations to close high-value programs.
  • Execution & Success: Partner with internal production and execution teams to ensure client success and flawless delivery of closed programs.
  • Pipeline Management: Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly revenue while maintaining CRM integrity to achieve growth goals.
  • Industry Representation: Attend key industry events to develop new business and manage existing relationships, traveling approximately 20% of the time.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a deep understanding of assigned brands, audience positioning, and the competitive landscape.

Position Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of success selling B2B integrated digital media and event solutions to industry suppliers and solution providers.
  • Proven Track Record: History of exceeding sales targets and managing complex, multi-platform client relationships.
  • Consultative Sales: Proficiency in a needs-based, consultative sales approach to solve business growth and marketing challenges for clients.
  • Digital & Technical Proficiency: * Strong understanding of digital analytics and audience metrics for both pre-sale opportunity identification and post-sale performance reporting. Proficiency in CRM maintenance, sales tools, AI, and creating professional proposals and presentations.
  • Business Development: Proactive initiative as a self-starter to manage all sales responsibilities independently
  • Travel & Presence: * Requires a virtual and in-person presence in the GTA, including attending Toronto-based industry events in the evenings. Travel is required two to three times per year for events across Canada and the US.
  • Communication: Highly organized with exceptional follow-through and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 CAD + commission and benefits per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, skills, experience, education and location.
