About the role

Every new managed client Epic IT signs comes through you first. You take a signed agreement and turn it into a working relationship: the full agreement stack built, access wrestled off an outgoing provider who's in no hurry to hand it over, every system documented, and billing correct from day one. Hand the client to service delivery and there's nothing left to find. The hard part isn't running the checklist, it's noticing the one item that quietly didn't happen, and that's exactly what we're hiring for.

1. Agreement build

Build the client's entire agreement stack in our billing platform, master and child agreements, additions, work roles and work types, before the first invoice ever goes out. Get this wrong and the client's paying for the wrong thing from day one.

2. Incumbent handover

Go through every access, credential and documentation gap the outgoing provider leaves behind, and there's always a gap. Cross-check what Epic IT already holds against a full onboarding register covering domains, DNS, M365 and identity, servers, network, backup and line-of-business apps, then chase the incumbent for what's missing until they hand it over.

3. Tenant and identity

Stand up the client's Microsoft 365 tenant under Epic IT's delegated management: admin delegation, licence assignment, and the right subscription tier locked in through our licensing distributor from the start.

4. Domains and DNS

Transfer domains into Epic IT's management and migrate DNS zones onto our platform without the client's email or website so much as blinking.

5. Security and backup tooling

Onboard the client onto Epic IT's security, backup and awareness-training stack, and make sure every platform is counted, licensed and billed correctly, not just switched on and forgotten.

6. Documentation

Capture the environment in our documentation platform properly, so service delivery inherits a complete record, not a half-built one they have to fix while they're meant to be supporting the client.

7. Coordination

Run the onboard as one coordinated piece of work, not a pile of disconnected tasks. Keep the client, the account manager and the technical team aligned, and be able to say, at any point, exactly what's done and what's still open.

8. Clean handover

Don't close the onboard until the client is billing-correct and fully handed over. No loose threads for service delivery to trip over later.

What you need

  • Hands-on PSA (professional services automation) platform experience, specifically agreements and billing setup, not just ticketing.
  • Solid Microsoft 365 administration and a working grasp of the CSP/NCE licensing model and multi-tenant delegation.
  • The organisation to run several moving parts at once without dropping one. An onboard has a dozen threads open and each has to land.
  • The persistence to chase an outgoing provider for access they're slow to give up, professionally and without letting it stall.
  • An eye for what's missing. The value of this role is catching the gap before it becomes a service outage or an unbilled service three months later.
  • Clear written communication for handover documentation, gap-request emails and status updates.
  • Comfortable being client-facing: explaining technical work in plain terms and representing Epic IT well when you're dealing directly with the client's people, not just their systems.

Nice to have

  • DNS and domain migration experience across common registrar and DNS management platforms.
  • Exposure to RMM, backup, and security or awareness-training platforms used across the MSP space.
  • Prior MSP onboarding or transition-project experience.
  • Familiarity with Essential Eight, where it shapes how a new client's environment gets set up.
