About the role

We are hiring a Sales Development Representative to build local business relationships through planned pop-ins

and territory bids. You will find relevant bid opportunities, prepare responses, coordinate approved submissions,

and manage follow-through. You will spend approximately 60% of your time on pop-ins, and 40% on bid work.

Extrity Services provides security staffing, de-escalation training, management training, consulting, and

site-specific standard operating procedure development. This role combines a professional, hospitality-minded

approach in the field with organized, accurate bid work.

Location: field-based in Greater Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Primary area: Philadelphia and Philadelphia County

Reports to: Sales Leadership

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., local territory time

Pop-ins and follow-up

  • Plan pop-in routes by industry and geographic cluster. Meet decision-makers, introduce relevant Extrity services, and learn about their needs.
  • Maintain accurate territory account lists. Verify decision-makers and company, site, and contact information, remove duplicate company and location records, and associate contacts with the correct companies in the CRM.
  • Follow through on pop-ins and bids with tailored calls and emails to develop qualified meetings, site walkthroughs, or bid opportunities.
  • Qualify opportunities by need, timing, budget, decision-maker, and fit. Record each outreach touch, its source, conversations, and next steps in HubSpot the same day.

Bid discovery, submission and management

  • Find and track relevant bids in the assigned territory. Review requirements and coordinate with leadership on which opportunities to pursue.
  • Maintain a bid tracker covering deadlines, required documents, questions, internal owners, approvals, submission status, and next steps.
  • Prepare bid answers and response packages using approved company information. Coordinate required pricing, service details, and supporting documents with leadership. Steve approves pricing.
  • Check responses for completeness, obtain company approval, and submit approved bids by the required deadlines. Confirm receipt and retain submission records.
  • Manage clarifications, follow-up, and status updates through the outcome, and coordinate the handoff of awarded work. Contractual commitments and signatures remain with authorized company signatories.

Any later pricing autonomy requires concrete company pricing standards to be established and authority to be

assigned.

What you will bring

  • Strong written and verbal communication, confidence meeting new people in person, and care with detailed written responses.
  • A professional, punctual, hospitality-minded approach and persistence in following up.
  • Organization for managing routes, account data, bid deadlines, and CRM records; ability to travel within the assigned territory.
  • B2B sales, service sales, security, staffing, hospitality, or field outreach experience is preferred. HubSpot or other CRM experience is preferred.

What success looks like

Well-planned pop-ins that lead to meaningful decision-maker conversations, qualified opportunities, and reliable

follow-up. Complete, approved bids submitted on time. Accurate account data, current bid status, and clear next

steps in the CRM.

Compensation

The role includes base salary plus residual commissions. The base salary changes according to the following

annualized rates:

  • Month 1: $60,000 annualized rate
  • Month 2: $45,000 annualized rate
  • Month 3 and thereafter: $30,000 annualized rate

Residual commissions follow Extrity’s Sales Matrix commission plan. For approved credited accounts, the hourly

residual equals the approved account-specific residual percentage multiplied by Extrity’s total hourly project

cost.

Travel and expense reimbursement for this role

  • Approved business miles driven in a personal vehicle are reimbursed at the IRS business mileage rate in effect on the travel date.
  • Business parking and tolls are reimbursed with receipts.
  • Ordinary commuting and personal travel are excluded. Reimbursable business travel is determined using the assigned work location.
  • The mileage rate covers vehicle operating costs; gasoline is not reimbursed separately for the same personal-vehicle miles.
  • Submit mileage logs and receipts weekly. Each mileage log must record the date, business purpose, origin and destination, and business miles. Approved reimbursements are separately itemized from wages.
  • Obtain Leadership approval in advance for travel outside the assigned territory, overnight trips, and business meals. Ordinary local lunches are personal expenses and are not reimbursable.
