The Team You’ll Work With …


As the People Partner, you will work directly with our People Team to provide strategic HR partnership across the organization. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to department managers and leadership, helping our organization operate with clarity, consistency, and a deep respect for both our people and our company values. 


This role reports to Annie Acheatel, is based out of our Aromas, CA facility, and is part of a specialized People Team that excels in Onboarding, Operations, Talent Acquisition, Benefits Administration, and Culture Building. You'll collaborate closely with team members who own these functions while you focus on being the primary people partner for managers and teammates within the organization. You will travel regularly to support our teams at our Richmond, CA and Spokane, WA locations. Travel across our distributed team should be welcomed and expected as part of building relationships and staying connected to the business. Occasional travel to other locations may also occur. This is a salary position and pays $75,000 - $90,000.

The opportunities you will have …

  • Partner with Managers on Talent and Performance: Serve as a trusted advisor to department managers on performance management, conduct expectations, and employee development. Provide expert guidance to supervisors on navigating workplace dynamics, building effective teams, and making informed decisions about talent, succession, and growth within the organization. Lead training and learning initiatives on topics ranging from professional development to compliance, culture, and workplace practices like DEI and respectful workplaces.
  • Navigate Employee Relations: Lead thoughtful resolution of employee concerns and workplace issues, ensuring well-documented, consistent, and compliant handling. Conduct workplace investigations and facilitate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy. Stay current on California wage and hour laws and employment best practices to guide leadership and protect the organization.
  • Foster Workforce Engagement and Culture: Maintain a consistent, visible presence across operational areas to build trust, remain accessible, and support employees across all departments. Collaborate with your People Team on engagement initiatives that strengthen our values-driven culture and promote a high-performance environment.
  • Advise Leadership: Partner with leadership to interpret HR policy, support operational decision-making, and provide strategic HR insights that inform business decisions and organizational planning.
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador: Represent our shared legacy of excellence and our core values including Kindness, Honesty, Tread Lightly on the Earth, Measure Twice/Cut Once, and Ganas (Desire). Be accountable to B Corp standards, ensuring we take care of our People and our Planet while turning a Profit.

About You …

  • An Accessible Leader: You believe in "serving the people" and pride yourself on being a primary point of contact who balances professional boundaries with genuine empathy.
  • Compliance-Minded: You have a sharp eye for detail regarding HR systems, employment law, and the nuances of managing a diverse, 300+ person workforce.
  • A Values Advocate: You are passionate about building a "values-driven" work environment and are excited to promote principles like Honesty, Kindness, and GANAS.
  • Operationally Savvy: You are comfortable moving between high-level leadership advisory and the "boots-on-the-ground" reality of daily workplace walkthroughs and engagement.
  • Technology First: You lean into technology solutions and have experience in tools like Rippling, Workday, or other strong HRIS systems. You are able to transform data into actionable business insights with a deep love for project management and AI like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. We run on Google, Rippling, and Asana.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

The total compensation package for this position includes stock options (2,000) and eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a teammate receives an offer of employment.
