About the Role

Forge is seeking a knowledgeable, highly motivated, and customer-focused HVAC Sales Specialist to support our growing direct-to-homeowner business. In this role, you’ll be responsible for driving new business by assisting homeowners in selecting the ideal heat pump system for their home. This consultative sales role involves engaging with potential customers, understanding their heating and cooling needs, and providing expert guidance on energy-efficient solutions.


You will conduct in-home and virtual assessments, create tailored proposals, explain system details clearly, and ensure a smooth transition to our operations team for seamless project execution. As the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the assessment, decision-making, and fulfillment process, your expertise in HVAC and sales will be key to your success.

What You Will Do:

  • Customer Engagement & Sales: Serve as the primary contact for homeowners, assessing their heating and cooling needs through in-home site visits, phone and video calls, and email communication while educating them on the benefits of heat pumps.
  • Site Assessments & System Scoping: Conduct in-home and virtual evaluations to determine installation feasibility, recommend the right heat pump system for each home, develop customized proposals, and address customer questions regarding unit placement, electrical requirements, and efficiency.
  • Sales Strategy & Customer Satisfaction: Continuously refine sales strategies, provide insights on best practices, and ensure customers receive applicable rebates and incentives.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with sales, system designers, and project coordinators to streamline operations and ensure smooth project execution.
  • CRM & Data Management: Utilize CRM software to track leads, document customer interactions, and provide feedback to marketing and leadership for process improvements.

Preferred Experience:

  • HVAC Industry Expertise: Hands-on residential HVAC experience, particularly in installation, is highly preferred. Candidates with significant experience in heat pump or mini-split system sales will also be well-positioned to make an impact. Experience in related industries such as solar or home performance contracting is a plus. Knowledge of Mitsubishi and Bryant equipment is a plus.
  • Customer-Facing Roles: Background in HVAC sales, account executive roles, project coordination, office management, or hands-on HVAC technical experience.
  • Technical & Process Skills: Proficiency with CRM systems, quoting tools, and system builders.
  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of consultative sales experience, preferably in HVAC or home energy solutions.

Requirements:

  • Available to work full-time with flexibility to accommodate customer needs. 
  • Valid driver's license. 
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. 
  • Willing and able to pass a background check and a 4-panel drug test (excluding marijuana screening).

Compensation:

$85,000–$150,000 (base + commission), depending on experience.
