At gaiia, we're building the leading platform for Communications Service Providers (CSPs) that truly care about their customers. Our core product is an operating system (OS) for telcos that manages billing, operations, automation and everything in between.
We're passionate about taking care of our people, and it's not just lip service. We want you to focus on your job while we care for everything else. We offer competitive pay and benefits, attractive stock options, unparalleled transparency, and a 100% remote environment. We're excited to have you join us for your next career adventure!
We're looking to hire a Full-Stack Software Developer with excellent technical skills and communication abilities to join our Platform squad.
You will join a team of 5 Full-Stack Developers (including a Team Lead), one Product Manager, one Quality Assurance Specialist and one Product Designer, developing and refining the technical frameworks and tools that empower all our development teams.
Technically speaking, you will work in a serverless ecosystem of microservices deployed on AWS. gaiia is all-in on Typescript, with frontend, backend and infrastructure-as-code all leveraging Typescript.
More pragmatically, as part of the Platform squad, you will have the chance to:
You will also:
Here are some actual projects you would have worked on recently:
Serverless → CDK migration proof of concept: You'd have paved the way for your organization's move off the Serverless Framework — taking on an end-to-end production service migration to AWS CDK with Docker container Lambdas, then distilling it into a shareable, step-by-step guide any squad could follow with no prior context. You'd have designed the whole approach around safety: running the new setup in parallel with the old one so nothing went live until you were ready, with a clean rollback path if anything went wrong. The real impact wasn't just one migrated service — it was leaving behind a proven playbook that turned a daunting migration into a repeatable, low-risk process for every team after you.
Public API tooling: build internal tools to streamline the development and maintenance of our public API for all our development squads. This project involved automatic API doc generation, designing GraphQL rate-limiting and idempotency algorithms, building internal libraries for authentication and authorization, and adding in-app capabilities for API-key management.
Canary deployments proof of concept: You'd have researched and rolled out canary deployments for production services using AWS CDK and CodeDeploy. Instead of pushing a new version to everyone at once, the setup releases it to a small portion of traffic first, watches key health metrics, and automatically rolls back if something looks off. You'd have documented the setup so other squads could apply the same pattern to their own services, making releases safer and easier to reverse across the board.
At gaiia, we have a transparent salary philosophy and a robust evaluation and compensation framework. It translates to a fair and impartial model where salaries are published internally, healthy discussions about compensation and performance can exist, and taboos are removed.
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$170,000.
We are an equal-opportunity employer committed to inclusivity and diversity. Our workplace is fully remote and boasts accessible technologies, ensuring all team members can thrive.
