  • Support the sales team in identifying new opportunities and develop long-term technical relationships to support sales growth.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, and the US office to ensure customer requirements are accurately translated into deliverable solutions.
  • Support handover of won opportunities into project delivery, maintaining strong customer relationships throughout.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging customer needs.
  • Represent STG Aerospace at industry events and trade shows (e.g. AIX).
  • Feed customer requirements and competitor intelligence back into the product roadmap.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
  • Ability to interpret a customer specification and produce a compliance matrix or formal RFP/ITT response.
  • Experience in technical sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, or a similar customer-facing engineering role.
  • Proven ability to manage the sales cycle from enquiry through to order.
  • Strong customer-facing and presentation skills.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel as required (20%), including periodic international trips.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering experience, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of lighting fundamentals, photometry, LED and low-voltage DC systems, harnesses and connectors, and the ability to read schematics and 3D models.
