Software Developer

About the Role

Insight Xcite is seeking Software Developers to build, improve, and support software for national security missions. Our software engineering opportunities span several development disciplines. We will discuss available roles and their specific requirements with you, taking your technical strengths and interests into account.

What You'll Work On

Depending on the role, your work may include:

• Developing and maintaining applications, services, and automation.
• Testing and debugging software to improve reliability and performance.
• Connecting applications, databases, and services through APIs and integrations.
• Supporting software modernization, documentation, releases, and ongoing updates.

Areas of Work

Opportunities may involve full-stack development, backend services, frontend applications and user interfaces, cloud/platform development and automation, or application and data integration.

What You Bring

• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on software development experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to your development focus.
• Experience testing, debugging, and maintaining software.
• Familiarity with source control and software development lifecycle practices.

Technology stacks, education requirements, and experience levels vary by opening. Technologies may include Java, Python, C#/.NET, JavaScript, React/Next.js, or AWS. These are examples across different roles, not a requirement to know every technology listed.

Clearance Requirement

Due to the nature of our work, Insight Xcite does not sponsor or process security clearances at this time.

Applicants must currently possess an active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph (FSP) to be considered for employment.

Work Location Requirement

All Insight Xcite positions are onsite. We do not offer remote or hybrid opportunities.

Applicants must be willing and able to work in person at the designated customer location.

Compensation

Compensation within the advertised range is based on relevant experience, demonstrated technical skills, and the requirements of the specific assignment. The upper end is reserved for candidates who meet the most advanced requirements.
