Careers

Senior Marketing Web Developer

For over 30 years, Alder has been a trusted guide for more than 5,000 families across Greater Boston, helping them navigate the aging journey with compassion, clarity, and expert care. Our  life care managers are seasoned social workers and nurses, providing both strategic direction and hands-on support, from coordinating medical care and assessing home safety to attending appointments and facilitating meaningful family conversations.

Deeply rooted in the community, we leverage a broad professional network to connect families with trusted resources and foster collaboration across disciplines. Whether offering occasional consultations or urgent crisis support, we tailor our involvement to meet each individual’s unique needs. At the heart of our work is a simple goal: to help families approach the practical and emotional aspects of aging with confidence.

The Role:

You'll be the technical owner of our marketing website and the systems that connect it to the rest of our business. That means everything from shipping a new landing page in Webflow on a Tuesday afternoon, to wiring up a HubSpot workflow that routes a qualified lead to the right intake specialist, to instrumenting analytics so we actually know what's working.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable in a Webflow Designer canvas, a Google Analytics property, and a JavaScript snippet inside a <script> tag. You'll work closely with our growth, marketing, and engineering teams, and report into the technology organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Own day-to-day development, maintenance, and evolution of the Alder marketing site in Webflow — including the CMS, structured content, components, and design system.
  • Build and ship new landing pages, campaign microsites, and content templates in partnership with marketing and design.
  • Implement and maintain our marketing technology stack: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot (forms, workflows, lifecycle stages), and on-site chat/booking tools.
  • Set up and maintain event tracking, conversion goals so the team can make decisions from real data.
  • Integrate the marketing site with downstream systems — HubSpot CRM, our product, and third-party tools — using webhooks, and APIs.
  • Run on-page A/B tests and conversion experiments; partner with growth on hypotheses and post-test analysis.
  • Handle technical SEO: site structure, schema markup, page speed, Core Web Vitals, sitemap and canonical hygiene.
  • Set up and manage on-site chatbots and conversational tools (Intercom, HubSpot Chat, or similar) including routing logic and handoff to humans.
  • Keep the site fast, accessible (WCAG AA), and on-brand.

Required skills / experiences:

  • 4+ years of professional experience building and maintaining marketing websites.
  • Good Webflow proficiency desired— you've shipped non-trivial sites, used the CMS for structured content, and know when to drop into custom code vs. stay within the visual builder.
  • Solid HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript fundamentals. You can read a snippet, write one from scratch, and debug what's breaking in production.
  • Hands-on experience with the growth/marketing tech stack: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and at least one major marketing automation platform (HubSpot strongly preferred).
  • Experience setting up and instrumenting conversion tracking, A/B tests, and analytics dashboards — not just installing scripts, but knowing what to measure and why.
  • Experience with at least one chatbot or conversational platform (Drift, Intercom, HubSpot Chat, Zendesk, or similar).
  • Comfort with APIs, webhooks, and basic integrations between marketing tools.
  • A growth mindset: you care about conversion rates, funnel metrics, and what actually moves the business — not just shipping the page.
  • Clear written communication. You can explain technical tradeoffs to a marketer and brand tradeoffs to an engineer.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with the React ecosystem (Next.js, Gatsby, or similar) — useful as parts of our marketing surface evolve.
  • Familiarity with one or more headless CMSs (Contentful, Sanity, Strapi) in addition to Webflow CMS.
  • SEO chops beyond the technical basics — keyword research, content strategy collaboration, schema strategy.
  • Familiarity with privacy and consent tooling (cookie banners, GDPR/CCPA-aware analytics setups).
