Manager, Data Operations, AI and Automation

About Measurabl

Measurabl has developed the leading ESG (environmental, social, governance) data management solution for commercial real estate—and we’re looking forward to doing so much more! Our team is a diverse group of innovators, leaders, and creators who are passionate about the work we do. We believe technology plays a central role in creating a sustainable, equitable world, and we’re working to build something that matters.

Overview:

Utility data quality is the hardest problem in commercial real estate sustainability, and it is the primary reason customers choose Measurabl. As Manager, Data Operations,Ai and automation you will be a hands-on operational leader who owns that function end to end: setting and enforcing the quality standards, monitoring the health of customer data, building the AI-driven automation and internal resources that resolve issues at scale, and leading the offshore and vendor teams that deliver the work.

Everything you do in this role serves one outcome: the trust our customers and partners place in Measurabl. They depend on us for investment-grade data — the kind that holds up in an audit, a transaction, or a regulatory filing — and you will own what makes that claim defensible. You will earn that trust in how you act, not what you assert: in how quickly you surface a problem, how completely you resolve it, and how clearly and honestly you communicate with customers, customer-facing teams, and delivery partners.

You will be measured on outcomes, not activity — not by how much work you personally route, but by how much more your team delivers, and at what quality, because of what you put in place. You will get there by empowering the people who do the work with clear expectations, the resources to succeed, and direct feedback, and by holding team members and delivery partners accountable to the same bar. Automation is your primary lever. You will build the agents and scripts that resolve routine work, generate and maintain the knowledge resources internal teams rely on, and remove manual steps rather than staff them.

If you have been waiting for a role where automating your own team's work is the job rather than a side project, this is it.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Customer Data Health

  • Serve as the technical voice on customer data quality alongside Customer Success and Data Advisory — providing insight into actions that will further drive customer data quality.
  • Serve as the escalation point for ambiguous or high-impact issues, setting accurate expectations on what is being addressed, setting clear expectations on timely delivery.
  • Oversee monitoring of customer data health across all portfolios — completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and audit-readiness — and drive action to address issues before they become a customer escalation.
  • Ensure data operations conform to Measurabl's Data Assurance Policy, internal controls and operational targets (error rate, resolution time, SLA attainment, backlog aging, rework), ensuring customer data will withstand customer and third-party audit.
  • Uphold the handling standards for confidential customer information across the team and delivery partners.
  • Lead data quality incidents end to end — classification, containment, root cause, validated fix, and lessons learned — in line with Measurabl's data assurance framework, and confirm the corrective action held.

AI, Automation & Internal Enablement

  • Design, build, and deploy AI-based automation — agents, skills, scripts, and workflow tooling — that resolves routine data quality work without human handling.
  • Build a mechanism to monitor the effectiveness of automation and AI, find any issues with their output and correct them as part of the ongoing process.
  • Find the highest-volume manual work in the operation, quantify what it costs, and convert it into automation; treat any repeated manual task as a candidate for elimination.
  • Lead the change, not just the build: bring the team through each new tool or process — explain why it changes, train to the new standard, address resistance directly, and measure adoption until the new way is the way the work gets done.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to move proven operational automation into the platform where it belongs.

Operational Leadership & Internal Partnership

  • Lead the delivery team day to day: prioritization, work allocation, capacity planning, and coaching.
  • Hold team members and delivery partners to the same performance bar through structured, evidence-based conversations, and drive corrective action when standards are not met — including multi-vendor sourcing decisions that balance cost, quality, and speed.
  • Produce operational reporting leadership and customer-facing teams depend on, and translate it into a clear read on status, risk, and trend.
  • Forecast volume and capacity so the team is staffed ahead of demand rather than recovering from a backlog.
  • Create and maintain internal knowledge resources — SOPs, runbooks, decision guides, and AI-assisted references — that let Measurabl's internal teams answer data questions without routing them to your team.

Education & Experience:

We have identified the following programs, experience, and knowledge that have helped others find success in this role at Measurabl. We understand though that knowledge comes from many forms of learning and experiences. Above all, we consider a person’s potential impact in the role and value their unique path to this point in their career.

  • Proven experience managing offshore, outsourced, or BPO delivery teams, including performance accountability and vendor/contractual relationship management.
  • Demonstrated people leadership: setting expectations, coaching to a standard, developing capability on the team, and addressing underperformance directly and early.

  • Experience running a queue-based operation against defined SLAs, with metrics you owned and reported.
  • Strong analytical capability: comfortable working directly with operational data to find drivers, set priorities, and defend the call.
  • Exceptional written communication and organizational skills; able to write documentation and instructions a distributed team executes correctly the first time.
  • Proficiency with work-tracking tooling (e.g., Jira) and advanced spreadsheet skills.
