What You’ll Do
The System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and monitoring of the IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, and networks. This role is intended to support the stability and security of the organization's IT environment and to support end users in resolving technical issues.
In this role, you will:
- Configuration, management and monitoring of servers and operating systems.
- Maintaining service availability through regular updates, monitoring the status of servers, and optimizing performance.
- Administration and management of backup systems, ensuring data protection and fast disaster recovery.
- Providing technical support to end users (first and second line of support).
- Diagnose and resolve IT infrastructure issues, including operating systems, applications, and networking.
- Document issues and develop instructions for users and support teams.
- Maintaining security systems, including antivirus, firewalls and monitoring tools.
- Manage user access, create accounts, grant permissions, and control access to resources.
- Cooperation with the IT team in the implementation of security policies and conducting audits.
- Monitor systems and networks to quickly detect and prevent problems.
- Carrying out regular maintenance such as patching, updating and maintaining equipment.
- Cooperation in the planning and implementation of IT projects aimed at improving infrastructure.
- Automation of repetitive tasks using scripts.
- Introducing improvements in existing processes and recommending new technological solutions.
- Manage Poland laptop and equipment procurement process.
What You’ll Need to Join Our Team
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4+ years related experience as a System Administrator.
- Good knowledge of at least one scripting language.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN networks.
- Knowledge of system security techniques.
- Ability to commute to the office in Krakow at least three times per week.
