About The Role

The IT Support Specialist II provides Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to office and field employees across the organization. This role supports computers, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, business applications, and technology used across company offices and job sites.

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist II independently resolves routine technical issues, assists with device setup and troubleshooting, and helps maintain reliable technology across the organization. This position also escalates more complex issues when needed and supports a positive, responsive experience for employees.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Windows computers, laptops, printers, monitors, mobile devices, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Respond to employee support requests, resolve issues independently when possible, and escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Set up equipment, accounts, software, and approved access for new employees; assist with offboarding and equipment collection.
  • Prepare and deploy replacement devices and maintain accurate equipment inventory and assignment records.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Assist with company applications, Power Apps, and other Microsoft tools, and learn new systems as they are introduced.
  • Troubleshoot basic network and wireless issues and assist with office technology, camera systems, and access-card readers.
  • Provide hands-on technology support at company offices, construction job sites, and job trailers.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, office moves, and technology rollouts.
  • Document troubleshooting solutions, identify recurring issues, and follow established IT and security procedures.

What We’re Looking For

  • Two or more years of experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting Windows computers and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to set up and troubleshoot computers, printers, monitors, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Basic understanding of networking and wireless technology.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated.
  • Clear communication and a professional, customer-service approach when supporting office employees and field personnel.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize requests, and coordinate with internal teams and service providers.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel between company locations and occasionally to job sites.
  • Ability to lift and move typical IT equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • High School diploma or GED required, some college preferred.
  • Experience with Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint is preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Power Apps, or Power Automate is a plus.
