About the role

We're looking for a Data & BI Engineer to build and own our data platform from the ground up. You'll design the architecture, implement scalable data pipelines, and deliver trusted dashboards and analytics that drive business decisions across the company.

The data is everything Rhino runs on: product usage, platform telemetry, customer activity across our deployments, and business systems like CRM, billing, and ERP. It arrives continuously from distributed environments, so the platform is built around pipelines that refresh on a cadence of minutes rather than overnight batches, with layered (bronze/silver/gold) modeling, near real-time views, and online monitoring on top.

You'll report directly to our Head of Engineering Operations and work closely with the Israeli R&D team, BI Manager and US business stakeholders, with a strong voice in technology choices, engineering best practices, and the architecture of a modern, production-grade data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end implementation of our data platform, from ingestion to reporting.
• Build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from production databases, product telemetry, and SaaS platforms (HubSpot, Rillet, billing, etc.).
• Build continuously refreshing pipelines and near real-time data layers, with the monitoring and alerting that keep them trustworthy in production.
• Design and evolve the modern data stack, including the data warehouse, transformation, orchestration, and BI layers.
• Design, build, and maintain business dashboards and self-service reporting for Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Product, and Leadership.
• Apply AI tooling to the data stack, from AI-assisted development to designing agent-based interfaces to our data.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, documentation, and monitoring across the platform.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or BI Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with modern data stacks such as dbt, Airflow or Dagster, and data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience building dashboards using BI tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience integrating production databases with SaaS platforms (CRM, billing, ERP, marketing analytics, etc.).
• Hands-on fluency with modern AI tools in your daily engineering work, and a real interest in where AI is taking data and analytics.
• Strong system design skills, high ownership, and the ability to move fast and independently in a startup environment.
• Fluent in English and Hebrew.

Nice to Have

• Experience building or designing BI / analytics agents, or other agentic workflows on top of data.
• Experience with streaming or event-driven data (Kafka, Kinesis, CDC) and real-time monitoring.
