About the Team


The Tax Payment team is powering the tax remittance of $30 billion+ to 5000+ tax agencies. We ensure taxes are paid on the time. We ensure billions of tax payment across 40+ countries get get remitted on time through automated systems.


We own the end to end lifecycle of tax remittance from salary payout to agency payment and refunds. Our system orchestrate complex tax remittance scenarios across different countries, currencies, and compliance requirements.


We've built intelligent engine to plan the tax remittance to maximize the float income and remitt taxes to 5000+ tax authorities  without minimal manual intervention while maintaining strict compliance and audit requirements. We're a mission-critical team where reliability is paramount - every line of code directly impacts people's livelihoods. We solve fascinating problems at the intersection of financial systems, international compliance, and large-scale automation, building fault-tolerant pipelines that handle complex scenarios while scaling globally.

What you will do

  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and the business to create products features.
  • Produce quality software that is shipped incrementally and continually at a high velocity - help set the long-term technical vision of the team.
  • Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing and driving best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
  • Interact with early customers and support them in being successful with the new product
  • Provide thoughtful feedback to your peers, and benefit from strong mentorship yourself.
  • Work closely with other engineers on the team to develop scalable, fault-tolerant systems
  • Influence technology selections and trends of the whole company

What you will need:

  • Minimum 6+ years of programming experience
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the duties
  • Solid experience in architecting backend applications that sit on top of complex business logic.
  • Preferred experience in our technology stack- Python, Django, React, MongoDB, AWS
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment by identifying areas of impact and independently pursuing them
  • Infectious passion for solving real customer pain points
  • Experience in building scalable distributed systems
