Director of Marketing, EMEA

About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

About the role

Rippling is one of the fastest growing startups on the planet, and despite what our scale suggests, we’re just getting started globally. Between scaling our current business, expanding into new products, and unlocking international growth, we have a multi-billion dollar opportunity ahead of us.

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic Director of Marketing, EMEA to scale Rippling’s marketing engine across the region. You’ll be responsible for setting the regional marketing strategy and executing full-funnel programs that drive awareness, pipeline, revenue, partner growth, and customer expansion — while also leading and continuing to build the team of high-performing marketers.

This role is a critical part of Rippling’s international expansion and requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational rigor, and hands-on execution. You’ll partner closely with regional sales leadership and cross-functional teams including Brand, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Channel Partners, Sales, SDRs, and Marketing Operations to deliver high-impact demand and awareness programs across EMEA.

EMEA is anchored by our two highest-priority core markets: UKI and Germany. These markets require deep local strategy, strong sales partnership, and mature full-funnel execution. You’ll also be responsible for developing scalable, lighter-weight marketing motions across additional markets including the Nordics, France, Iberia, MENA, and other emerging markets, ensuring we can test, learn, and expand efficiently over time

This role is hybrid, based in our Dublin office 3 days a week. Our Core Sales, SDR, Marketing Account Management, and EMEA Executive teams are based out of this office as well.

What you’ll do

  • Own the EMEA marketing strategy and build a scalable, repeatable marketing engine that accelerates new logo ARR, referral partner ARR, customer retention, and expansion growth across the region.
  • Lead the regional marketing strategy for UKI and Germany as EMEA’s anchor markets, building deeper localised plans across demand generation, brand, product marketing, competitive positioning, partner marketing, and sales alignment.
  • Develop a lighter-weight, scalable marketing approach for additional EMEA markets including the Nordics, France, Iberia, MENA, and other expansion markets, balancing local relevance with operational efficiency.
  • Develop, execute, and optimise full-funnel campaigns across TOF, MOF, and BOFU channels, including social, email, paid media, direct mail, webinars, content syndication, in-person events, partner marketing, and SDR outbound activations.
  • Build and lead a team of marketers, empowering them to own outcomes, execute with excellence, and grow into future leaders.
  • Partner deeply with Sales and SDR leadership to ensure tight alignment and shared accountability for ARR, pipeline, SQO, CAC, and conversion targets.
  • Grow Rippling’s brand awareness and affinity across EMEA, ensuring we show up in locally relevant and culturally credible ways in our highest-priority markets using targeted PR, Out of Home, and other awareness tactics.
  • Develop and grow our partner marketing muscle locally, particularly in markets where referral, ecosystem, and channel influence can accelerate efficient growth.
  • Own local product marketing and GTM strategy in partnership with central PMM teams, including competitive intelligence, market-specific messaging, localisation of global playbooks, and sales enablement.
  • Collaborate with corporate US-based Brand, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Growth, and Content teams to localise global campaigns and leverage customer stories relevant to EMEA buyers.
  • Build a strong operating cadence for the region, tracking performance by market, segment, and channel; prioritising based on data and impact; and continuously iterating campaigns to improve efficiency and scale.
  • Bring a strong point of view on where EMEA needs deep localisation versus where we should run scalable, repeatable motions across multiple markets.

What you’ll need

  • 12+ years in B2B demand generation, growth, regional marketing, and full-funnel marketing roles, ideally in SaaS or technology, with direct experience managing and developing teams across marketing functions.
  • Proven track record of building full-funnel marketing programmes that drive demonstrable pipeline, revenue, and customer growth.
  • Experience leading international or regional marketing in EMEA, ideally with direct experience in UKI and/or Germany.
  • Strong understanding of how to balance mature-market depth with expansion-market scalability across a complex region.
  • Experience partnering closely with regional sales teams, SDR teams, and US-based cross-functional corporate teams.
  • Ability to zoom in and execute with urgency, while also zooming out to build structure, process, and team.
  • Skilled at balancing creativity; brand building, storytelling, local market relevance with data-driven decision making.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift and speed matters.
  • An obvious analytical mindset - you use data to guide strategy, prioritise programmes, and optimise results by default and everyone around you feels it.
  • Strong communicator/influencer - you can influence stakeholders across levels and functions, from SDRs and AEs to country leaders and global executives.
  • Bias to action- you execute with urgency, thrive in ambiguity, and aren’t afraid to test, fail, learn, and scale quickly.
  • Bonus: Experience marketing to HR, Finance, or Operations buyers across EMEA.
