Position Summary

The Operations Associate provides general operations and administrative support to River Health patients, providers, and medical practice. The Operations Associate presents a positive, professional image of River Health and provides exemplary customer service to patients. The position calls for adaptability, excellent interpersonal skills, strong computer skills, as well as sensitivity to confidential matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for patients, providing support and guidance throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Resource Management: Identify and connect patients with appropriate healthcare services, including medical specialists, lab services, and community resources.
  • Care Planning: Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients' needs are met.
  • Information Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including care plans, referrals, billing, and follow-up activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate care and improve patient and practice outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all activities comply with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
  • Other Duties: Perform other related duties as needed and assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and web applications including the ability to navigate and learn new systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with clientele in face-to-face, phone, chat and email interactions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand healthcare industry terms
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and providers
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare management systems
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective user of different online communication and patient support platforms
  • Excellent customer service skills with attention to responsiveness

Location & Schedule

  • Hours: Full-Time. Work is performed Monday through Friday 8:00 – 5:00 p.m. CST.
  • Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hybrid work schedule
