About the role
RNWBL is seeking a highly motivated financial systems manager with expertise in NetSuite to join our team at its Houston headquarters. This individual will drive scaling, optimizing, and integrating financial systems to support significant business growth. The ideal candidate must be able to work autonomously and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and be excited at the prospect of wearing many hats on a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provides leadership for the selection, maintenance, training, upgrades and other core components of ERP and other financial systems software.
• Plans and works closely with Tech team, system vendors, and staff as system changes and upgrades are planned, tested, and implemented; assures modifications/upgrades are successfully tested before implementation to the live environment.
• Act as system administrator for ERP and Consolidation/ other finance software. Update system parameters, reports and data and complete monthly, quarterly and annual IT controls including access reviews.
• Reports system issues: works with system vendors to resolve issues.
• Develops and documents workflow processes to create efficiency in the operation of financial systems; develops and integrates systems solution that enhance productivity and process efficiencies.
• Works with department and company staff to develop and integrate systems solutions.
• Utilizes reporting tools to write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries; works with Finance and Tech department to resolve complex reporting issues.
• Provides end user security management and content management for financial systems; controls access to financial systems data.
• Participates in change management and control of financial systems.
• Advises and supports the Company in the use of technology to maintain and enhance internal control procedures for financial reporting processes.
• Advises, supports and makes recommendations to the Controller in the use of technology to maintain and enhance the ERP software and other financial systems. Works closely with Tech to integrate systems used for operational purposes into the ERP and Consolidation software.
• Recommends and develops policies and procedures for the ERP and for accounting and financial processes as needed.
• Leads the effort when adding new entities to the general ledger system including development of the chart of accounts, training of the local accounting staff, and on-going support as needed.
• Performs ongoing training and development related to the ERP system and/or other financial systems or tools.
• Develops relationships with cross functional teams to achieve business objectives in the most effective manner.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
Competencies:
• Expert knowledge of NetSuite required.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and carry out responsibilities with a sense of urgency.
• High level of commitment to the job and delivering outstanding work.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant NetSuite experience required.
• CPA and/or CISA preferred.
• Energy and/or field services industry experience is a plus.
