About Sharp Performance

Sharp Performance helps high-demand professionals optimize their mental performance and resilience through evidence-based cognitive coaching. Our team is made up of former military, first responders, and elite performers who share a deep passion for helping others perform at their best—both on and off the job. We’re a fast-growing, mission-driven company built on purpose, trust, and performance.

We’re Sharp Performance

Our mission is to extend the service-life and health span of those who run toward danger: law enforcement, firefighters, EMS, and the military community. The people who do this work pay a price for it. Agencies lose their best people to burnout and attrition, and the standard options were never built for the job.

Sharp Performance connects frontline professionals with 1:1 performance coaches through our mobile platform. Our coaches have lived the job. Our methods come from the cognitive performance world of U.S. Special Operations. We built this company from inside the community we serve.

We're backed by Andreessen Horowitz and growing fast, with new agency partnerships signing every month. The standard is high. The mission is clear. If you want your next chapter to serve the people who run toward danger, we should talk.

The Opportunity

Sharp Performance is hiring a Field Marketing Lead to build and own an events-driven pipeline engine across the public safety market.

This isn't an event planning role.

Your job is to turn events into pipeline.

You'll own the entire field marketing lifecycle—from identifying the right events and getting the right people in the room, to creating meaningful engagement onsite, to making sure qualified opportunities make their way into the hands of our sales team.

Before an event, you're building awareness and driving attendance.

At the event, you're creating conversations and identifying opportunities.

After the event, you're making sure those conversations turn into qualified pipeline.

We're looking for someone who understands the public safety ecosystem, knows how agencies operate, and can walk into a room of chiefs, sheriffs, command staff, and frontline leaders and know how to engage them.

You'll have the freedom to rethink what great field marketing looks like in this industry and build a playbook that can scale with Sharp.

What You'll Own

You'll own field marketing and event-driven demand generation for Sharp Performance.

Your job is simple:

Put Sharp in the right rooms, create meaningful conversations, and turn those conversations into pipeline.

You'll work closely with Marketing and Sales to determine where we show up, how we show up, and how we turn every event investment into measurable business results.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Own the Event Strategy: Identify and prioritize conferences, association meetings, regional events, executive gatherings, and other opportunities where Sharp needs to be present.
  • Generate Pipeline: Treat events as a demand-generation channel, not a branding exercise. You'll be accountable for creating qualified opportunities and measurable pipeline.
  • Drive Pre-Event Outreach: Build campaigns and targeted outreach that create meetings and conversations before anyone arrives at the venue.
  • Own Onsite Execution: Make sure our presence stands out—from booth strategy and messaging to customer engagement and relationship building.
  • Work the Room: You'll be expected to engage directly with public safety leaders, understand who you're talking to, ask the right questions, and identify where there may be an opportunity for Sharp.
  • Own Post-Event Follow-Up: Build a disciplined process for qualifying leads, nurturing relationships, and getting the right opportunities into the hands of Sales quickly.
  • Partner With Sales: Work closely with our sales team before, during, and after events to ensure we're targeting the right agencies and people.
  • Understand the Buyer: Know the difference between engaging a frontline officer, sergeant, lieutenant, chief, sheriff, command staff member, or agency administrator—and understand how influence and purchasing decisions move through an agency.
  • Measure What Matters: Track meetings, qualified leads, opportunities, pipeline, conversion, and ROI so we know which events deserve more investment.
  • Build the Playbook: We're still early. You'll help determine what great field marketing looks like at Sharp and build the systems and processes we use as we scale.
  • Challenge the Status Quo: Bring new ideas to an industry where event marketing can often feel stale. We want someone who sees opportunities to make Sharp's presence different, memorable, and effective.

Who We're Looking For

  • Public Safety Experience: This is essential. You've marketed or sold into law enforcement, fire, EMS, first responder, or adjacent public safety markets and understand how agencies actually operate.
  • Experienced Field Marketer: You bring roughly 7–10 years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, demand generation, or a closely related discipline.
  • Pipeline Mindset: You don't measure a successful event by booth traffic or badge scans. You think about qualified conversations, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Full-Lifecycle Event Experience: You've owned what happens before, during, and after an event—not simply the logistics of putting one together.
  • Public Safety Fluency: You understand agency structures, titles, buying processes, and the dynamics of communicating with everyone from frontline personnel to command staff.
  • Independent Operator: You don't need someone from Sales standing beside you to navigate an event. You understand the customer well enough to represent Sharp confidently on your own.
  • Relationship Builder: You're comfortable walking into a room where you don't know anyone and leaving with meaningful relationships.
  • Hands-On: You're willing to build the campaign, work the booth, talk with customers, qualify the leads, update the CRM, and help figure out what happens next.
  • Creative: You don't want to run the same conference playbook everyone else in the industry has been using for the last decade.
  • Commercially Minded: You understand that marketing ultimately needs to create business outcomes.
  • Data Driven: You want to know which events work, which audiences convert, where pipeline comes from, and where we should invest next.
  • Startup Ready: You're comfortable with ambiguity, moving quickly, wearing multiple hats, and building processes rather than inheriting them.

Why You'll Want to Be Here

  • Build It From the Ground Up: You'll have the opportunity to define Sharp's field marketing strategy rather than inherit someone else's playbook.
  • Real Ownership: This won't be a support function. You'll own a meaningful growth channel and be accountable for its results.
  • High-Growth Environment: Join a Series A company that's growing quickly and already working with 100+ public safety agencies.
  • Backed by a16z: We're backed by Andreessen Horowitz and investors behind some of the world's most successful technology companies.
  • Mission That Matters: Your work helps improve the health, performance, and longevity of the people who run toward danger.
  • Direct Customer Exposure: You'll spend your time with the people we serve and have a direct line into what's happening in the market.
  • Room to Innovate: We're looking for someone who wants to challenge how marketing has traditionally been done in public safety.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision.
  • Flexible PTO: Recharge and stay sharp, no micromanagement.
  • 401(k) with Company Match: We invest in your future.
  • Performance Coaching: Access to the same elite performance coaches we offer our clients.
  • A Team Built Like You: We're operators, first responders, and high-performers who don't accept average.

Sharp Performance is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and encourage individuals of all backgrounds to apply. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
