Position Overview

The Graphic Design Intern will support Simple Modern’s creative team throughout the summer, creating surface art for branded and licensed patterns, custom sales support, and other projects based on needs. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, hard working, and interested in surface art or illustration. 

Key Responsibilities

• Working within branded guidelines and trend reports, as well as Licensed IP (Disney, Nickelodeon, NFL, etc). 
• Create print ready artwork for application on Simple Modern products.  
• Generating mockups and artwork for the Custom Sales department. 
• Provide general support to the creative team based on seasonal priorities and business needs. 
• Bring new ideas, trends, and creative inspiration to the team

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Art, or related field
• Strong interest in surface art, patterns, and trends
• Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects
• Creative thinker who enjoys identifying trends and generating new ideas
• Comfortable working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• A portfolio of illustration, pattern, or strong design work.
