Grid Interconnection Project Manager

We are looking for a Grid Interconnection Project Manager to join our world-class team.


Our ideal candidate has foundational experience in the ERCOT market and large load interconnection processes, and is eager to build a career at the intersection of energy and digital infrastructure. You’ll support the development and build out of various Soluna projects, working closely with the Director, Grid Integration to track interconnection milestones, maintain market data, and keep project teams informed on regulatory and TDSP developments.


This is a great opportunity for someone early in their energy career who wants hands-on exposure to ERCOT interconnection, project development, and the fast-growing data center sector. You will report directly into the Director, Grid Integration and work closely with the broader Power and Project Development teams.

You will:

  • Support Interconnection Process Management and Tracking
  • Support the day-to-day Load Interconnection Process with TDSPs (ERCOT) for new & existing development projects from siting to execution including prepare applications,monitor study timelines, cost and deliverables, handle interconnection agreements
  • Assist in overseeing consultants as necessary to support the interconnection process including application deliverables in addition to engineering review of utility schedules and cost estimate
  • Establish day-to-day working relationships with utilities, ISOs and industry representatives
  • Maintain meeting notes and follow-up trackers for public stakeholder meetings (WMS, ROS, PUC workshops) attended alongside the Director.
  • Support Project Development & Execution
  • Maintain and update the database for renewable assets regarding interconnection, 
  • Support project modeling inputs related to interconnection costs and TDSP timeline risk
  • Help prepare stakeholder assessment materials to establish critical project requirements
  • Track and help resolve issues blocking progress on project elements, particularly interconnection queue and market rule compliance items
  • Coordinate weekly IPP check-ins and maintain associated documentation
  • Support commercial activities by providing projects’ interconnection information

What You Need to Get the Job Done

  • 1–3 years of experience in energy, utilities, or data center infrastructure, with exposure to ERCOT or large load interconnection a strong plus
  • Familiarity with TDSP interconnection processes and ERCOT market rules, or strong eagerness to learn quickly
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines accurately
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort synthesizing technical and regulatory information
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets for data tracking; comfort working with data sets a plus
  • Entrepreneurial sensibilities, with a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves work style
  • Education or degree in Engineering, Management, Economics, or a related field
