Location: Calhoun, GA

STARK is seeking a 1st Shift Hand Sewer to join our Fabrication team in our Calhoun, GA warehouse. In this role, you will hand sew and finish luxury carpet products to STARK's quality standards, ensuring each piece is completed with precision and craftsmanship.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hand sew carpet and rug products according to Fabrication Work Orders (FWOs) and production specifications.
• Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and sewing instructions.
• Inspect materials before sewing to identify defects or quality concerns.
• Ensure seams, edges, and finishes meet STARK's quality standards.
• Trim threads and inspect completed products for accuracy and appearance.
• Handle luxury carpet materials carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
• Maintain an organized workstation and follow all safety procedures.
• Work closely with Fabrication, Quality Control, and other production teams to meet daily production goals.
• Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed.
• Maintain productivity while ensuring exceptional craftsmanship.

Job Requirements:

• Previous hand sewing, upholstery, tailoring, carpet fabrication, or textile manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
