STARK is seeking to hire a Client Data & Insights Lead for our New York City headquarters. This role presents an exciting opportunity to help build the client intelligence foundation that powers STARK’s ecommerce growth strategy. Partnering closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Technology teams, the Client Data & Insights Lead will improve data quality, develop reporting and analytics capabilities, and uncover actionable insights that enhance the customer experience and support strategic business growth across the organization.


Job Responsibilities:

Client Data Foundation & Hygiene

  • Audit, clean, and structure ecommerce client data across HubSpot CRM, Shopify, and connected analytics systems to improve accuracy, completeness, and usability.
  • Help define what a complete digital client profile should look like across trade designer applicants and direct-to-consumer customers.
  • Identify and resolve data fragmentation across ecommerce platforms, attribution tools, lifecycle systems, and CRM platforms.
  • Establish and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and best practices that improve data quality at the source.
  • Partner with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Technology teams to improve how client data is captured, structured, and maintained over time.

Core Reporting & Analytics

  • Own recurring ecommerce and marketing reporting, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance insights.
  • Deliver analysis across customer acquisition, retention, purchase behavior, trade engagement, and channel conversion.
  • Define and standardize KPIs and reporting definitions across digital channels to ensure consistent business visibility.
  • Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights for Marketing, Ecommerce, and senior leadership teams.

Advanced Analytics & Insight Development

  • Evolve reporting from descriptive metrics to more diagnostic and forward-looking insights over time.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and customer behavior patterns across key client segments.
  • Support conversion analysis, customer lifetime value modeling, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Help develop attribution frameworks that support paid media and ecommerce decision-making.
  • Support incrementality testing initiatives and channel performance analysis.
  • Surface insights that connect marketing activity and ecommerce behavior into a more complete view of the customer journey.

Technical Solutions & Systems Partnership

  • Translate business questions into practical data solutions, including building queries, structuring datasets, and connecting data sources across platforms.
  • Serve as a business lead for client data and analytics platforms including HubSpot CRM, Shopify, Power BI, Triple Whale, or similar tools.
  • Partner closely with Technology teams on requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Identify opportunities where automation or AI can improve reporting, segmentation, data quality, or operational efficiency.
  • Ensure long-term usability, scalability, and integrity of analytics and reporting solutions.

Self-Service Reporting & Enablement

  • Build reporting resources and self-service dashboards that enable teams to access key business insights independently.
  • Create documentation and reporting libraries that improve accessibility and consistency across teams.
  • Help establish intake and prioritization processes for ad-hoc reporting and custom analysis requests.
  • Educate stakeholders on how to interpret and apply data insights to support business decisions.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Technology teams to align analytics priorities with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure reporting reflects commercial goals and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with technology and analytics vendors to support integration health and platform effectiveness.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 4–7+ years of experience in data analytics, ecommerce analytics, client insights, CRM operations, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience improving data quality and structure across CRM or multi-system environments.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce and analytics platforms such as Shopify, Klaviyo, Triple Whale, GA4, HubSpot, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to SQL or similar querying languages strongly preferred.
  • Experience with attribution modeling, incrementality testing, or channel performance analysis is a plus.
  • Experience within luxury retail, premium consumer goods, trade, wholesale, or ecommerce environments preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with comfort presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
