StrongMind, Inc.

Customer Success Manager

Job Title: Customer Success Manager

Location: Hybrid (Chandler, AZ)
Reports to: Executive Director of Customer Success & Support Operations
Employment Type: Exempt/Full-Time

About StrongMind:

StrongMind is a remote-first education and technology company on a mission to transform learning for students, families, and educators across the country. For more than 25 years, we’ve partnered with schools and districts to deliver innovative, student-centered learning experiences powered by technology, compassion, and bold thinking.

We believe education should be flexible, human, and built for real life. That belief shapes how we design our products, support our partners, and work together as a team. At StrongMind, you’ll find smart people doing meaningful work, a culture rooted in trust and accountability, and leaders who genuinely care about both outcomes and people.

The Team You Will Join:

You’ll be part of our Customer Success team, working closely with partner schools and internal teams including Support, Product, Sales, and other cross-functional partners.

Our Customer Success team is responsible for building strong relationships with our school partners, understanding their goals and challenges, helping them get value from their StrongMind partnership, and making sure their needs and feedback are heard across the organization.

This is a relationship-driven, collaborative team where you’ll have the opportunity to solve problems, support educators, influence internal teams, and help improve the experience of the schools and students we serve.

The Difference You Will Make:

As a Customer Success Manager, you’ll be the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of StrongMind partner schools. You’ll get to know your partners, understand what matters to them, help solve problems, and make sure they are getting value from their partnership with StrongMind.

You’ll help educators and school leaders navigate challenges, understand our products and services, and achieve their goals. You’ll also serve as the voice of your customers internally, making sure their needs, challenges, and feedback are understood by the teams responsible for building and supporting our products.

Your work will help remove barriers for educators so they can stay focused on what matters most: their students.

A Typical Day Looks Like:

While no two days are exactly the same, you can expect to:

  • Connect with partner schools through calls, check-ins, quarterly business reviews, and occasional on-site visits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your portfolio, understanding each partner’s context, history, goals, and needs.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with school leaders, educators, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with Support, Product, Sales, and other internal teams when partner needs require cross-functional resolution.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and professional development sessions for educators, both virtually and on-site.
  • Review account health data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for proactive outreach.
  • Support partner adoption, engagement, and overall account health.
  • Document account activity accurately and keep CRM records current after partner touchpoints.
  • Share customer insights that can influence product decisions, training content, and internal process improvements.
  • Use AI tools, including Claude and ChatGPT, as part of your daily workflow to draft communications, analyze data, prepare for partner conversations, and identify patterns.
  • Participate in team meetings to stay aligned on customer health, open issues, and cross-functional priorities.

This role balances relationship management, problem-solving, collaboration, and independent ownership. It is well-suited for someone who enjoys helping people, navigating complex situations, and turning customer needs into meaningful action.

Your Expertise Includes:

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills, including maintaining accurate CRM records and managing multiple customer priorities.
  • A consultative, customer-centered approach and the ability to ask thoughtful questions to understand partner goals and challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify priorities and determine when to involve the right internal partners.
  • Comfort using data to understand account health, identify patterns, and determine where to focus attention.
  • Experience presenting information, facilitating conversations, and leading professional development or training sessions.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, shifting priorities, and unexpected customer issues.
  • A strong understanding of the realities of K–12 education, including the policies, classroom challenges, competing priorities, and day-to-day needs of educators and administrators.
  • Proficiency with AI tools and a willingness to incorporate AI into everyday work.
  • The ability to travel up to 10% of the time nationally to visit partner schools and lead professional development sessions.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a K–12 public or charter school teacher, administrator, or school-level leader.
  • Experience working in education technology.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience working directly with schools, educators, or education-focused organizations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Equivalent professional experience and demonstrated results will also be considered.
